Definitely this. They were an already uncommon breed in the late 2000s and early 2010s, but when the first wave of genderspecial bullshit came from tumblr, now they thought that they were actually demiqueer or some non-binary instead of being a normal fucking girl who is not only cute but able to hang out with and do cool shit. The "I'm not like the other girls" thing ahas always been present, but fooling gullible tomboyish young women and girls into thinking they are mentally ill definitely killed tomboys as a concept.

We must secure the existence of our tomboys and a future for tomboy women because the beauty of the Tomboy Woman must not perish from the Earth

Start a club where only cis tomboys are allowed. No they/thems allowed spray painted on the building. And no trannies next to it. Niggers and lesbians and stuff are fine though as long as they have a vagina but we won't call them niggers because that would make them get all niggery. We'll just keep the gate keeping simple.

I still don't even understand this tomboy shit.

Women who are sporty still exist just fine. Do the people here just mean specifically confused teenage girls with an oppositional streak that they used to jerk off to online went trans?

Because "tomboy" implies perceived childishness, and the fact that apparently all of these girls are young and emotionally vulnerable enough that they're ripe for the picking by predatory internet cults sure makes the whole thing sound disgusting. Just saying.
