I don't think that's accurate. BLM rioters did billions in damages. There was nightly footage of shops being looted, windows smashed, walls grafittied ad infinitem. The Jan 6th protestors who got into the building didn't even go outside the guide ropes. There was one guy who kept yelling at others to smash the glass display cabinets but nobody did and the person who kept shouting it later showed up on CNN and had spoken at a BLM rally. Property damage between Jan 6th and BLM is not comparable. It's not a matter of hypocrisy.

The important difference between Jan 6 and BLM, well there are other important differences too, but the one that stands out to me in this context is that Jan 6 targeted a specific actor with a specific demand, and their demand fit their premise. You can say they were wrong in thinking the election was stolen, but if it was true that the election actually was stolen, then the certification of the election would indeed constitute a coup. BLM on the other hand had no specific demands other than maybe defund the police, if you want to count that, and largely targeted completely random people and businesses many of which supported BLM itself. I guess they did burn down that one police precinct so there's that.

Point is, there's no hypocrisy between supporting violence to prevent a coup vs opposing violence that consists of looting and burning shit at random. Not that I think Jan 6 was a good idea, I think it was a glow-op, but to further support your point that there is no hypocrisy to be found here either way.
