Steven Assanti is reported to have died.

Edit: Something smells fishy, and it ain't just Steven not having taken a shower. That particular post has been deleted, and no corroborating evidence is available. Still, with how he was living his alleged life, well, tick tock.
Yeeeeaaahhh, I won't believe it until I see an obituary and/or a statement from TLC. He's such a grotesque attention whore, it could easily be a stunt.

My 600-lb life Season 11 Episode 3 Wess' Journey is online
here

It's emotional, but not in a bad way. Got all the mirror neurons firing.

Assanti is like a roach. He'll never die. But anyway, LaTonya wasn't much of a surprise. You were a patient before and didn't succeed and second verse was same as the first. Wess was okay. I was actually rooting for him. It was uncomfortable when him and his dad were talking about his trauma about coming out and he didn't blame his dad without blaming his dad. Like, really queen?

All of this year's episodes have been duds. The only funny part of this episode was when her apathetic feeder husband hustled her up a small hill and encouraged her to roll down like a hefty bag full of grease. But at least she did the work. I wasn't expecting any weight loss when the first update showed her eating a platter of tacos.

Caps from Geno are attached. Drafts are not saving for some reason when I have time I'll rewatch and do a recap of the 4 episodes when things get more stable again.

Other than the rolling down the hill, the one thing this episode had going for it was how filthy these people were. That house looks ready to be condemned. The son and husband are normal weight and can clean up. The inside was filthy. The outside was full of trash. I think the only time that floor ever saw a broom was when they moved.

There was a little cat running around. Hope it's ok. I didn't see it in Houston. Maybe it was the son's cat.

What a petulant manchild. Did you notice his “I have a 16 year old friend” spiel?

That caught me off-guard and it looked like it did for everyone else. Why's a grown-ass man talking to a 16 year old girl online?

I just watched S11E06, Stephanie's Journey. Not particularly eventful but this made me MATI:
She fails two weigh-ins and feels Dr Now doesn't appreciate how hard she works. She no-shows for her final one and ignores his communication. After this she has the fucking audacity to say "I feel like it's been a raw deal from the start. I feel like Dr Now never saw the good in me and he never wanted to acknowledge the progress I made and my behaviour" before saying "I'm not giving up on myself just because Dr Now gave up on me."

what a nonce
This alleged "girlfriend" with her sickness was used by him to prop up his own ego. Grasping at straws, he used her as his excuse.
His decision to do it "his way" without surgery and against all science or statistics or wellmeaning advice, affected everybody in that codependent family bubble.

It wasn't just him deciding not to prepare his own food or take responsibility of his own diet. His pattern of behaviour and his mother catering to his needs wasn't questioned at all.
His mother's "love and care" allowed him to stay that way. Patiently they hoped for the best, which didn't come. And it prolonged the suffering for everybody around him. Everybody else is staring at him worryingly while he invents a kind of heroic storyline for himself, which is bound to fail.

Ouff, I just started watching Season 11 Episode 6
Stephanie's Story

and ermagerd. Within the first 5 minutes there were some horrors to see. There is a mass. Hanging. Between her legs.

Although there is her family, her kids, her mother helping her, she's so sad and lonely!

Something about this one is especially stomach churning.

I only half-watched this one because she was a boring train wreck, but where did that young girl who was calling her "Mom" come from?? There was the fat older son she had just out of high school, and the young son from the one-night stand (🤮), but halfway through we stopped seeing the older son and instead started seeing a young girl! Was I taking crazy pills?

She has those 3 kids.

What is with these recent participants qualifying for WLS and then deciding that they don't want it? Like, I get it. You're doing a great job. But Mark and Chris...bruhs. Get the surgery. Keep making great progress. You're going to plateau eventually but you'll lose a grip more before that happens with the surgery if you follow the plan. Mr. Vodka and I have started putting money on who does or doesn't elect to get the surgery this season is they qualify.

at least chris was able to almost drop 200lb compared to mark, but yeah it’s weird that they could have easily just googled a pdf copy of dr nows book and followed it there instead of wasting time.

hopefully chris does the surgery and we see a positive watn with him.

If you adjust your calories as you lose weight, you won't plateau. Plateaus happen because you hit the point where how many calories you are consuming become the maintenence calories for your new weight.
