Considering a lot of pro Russians see Ukraine as just "America's money laundering hub" and "The hedonistic West exerting their pressure onto the one country that refuses to go along with their bullshit and their destruction of culture via mass importing of migrants", I think the pro Russia side sees the actions of Putin as a necessary evil at worst. And then there's the shit going on in Moldova and Georgia.

The Ukrainians are only guilty of wanting to chart their own destiny while being a normal European nation. I know what monkey I'm rooting for in this knife fight.

They really aren't that different than the American NAZI supporters circa 1939. Which included some rather big names. Such as Henry Ford. Charles Lindberg was a strict issolationist who capaigned that it was morally wrong for the US to get involved in yet another European War. He so pissed off Roosevelt that he was barred from serving in the Military. Which was lunacy. He came around after Pearl Harbor. he went to work for Vought Aircraft. He still had his friends in the Military. So much so that they snuck him out to Holandia in the Pacific to look over the squadrons flying P-38's. After looking at and flying the plane, he managed to teach the squadron's how to effectively double it's range by careful engine and fuel management. he also snuck in and flew some combat missions, which sent the brass round the bend and got him ejected from the War rather promptly. (His improvements did help enable the later shootdown of Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto. So he was worth listening to.)

I agree, but also I wouldn't say Ukraine is a homogenous entity - there are also a lot of ethnic minorities like Crimean Tatars or different flavors of gypsies, as well as Georgians, some Chechens and so on. It's still less diverse than Russia, mostly because half of it's territory isn't in Asia

*Pretend the claim of inevitable victory never happened (See: Kharkiv and Odesa)

*Claim NATO sent super weapons, Navy SEALS and ODAs and they weren't fighting through Ukrops but the US's best and even though they lost they killed more than half of the US's best and most lethal with one hand tied behind their back

*They never really wanted it. It was a ploy to tactfully kill off their prison population.

A good majority of actual Ukrainians can't speak good Ukrainian, despite the amount of brute forcing of the language that's been happening over the past decade.

A good 'majority" is a statement requiring citation. If you're referring to "surzhik" then it's an unfortunate side effect of 370 years of Russian colonization. One could argue, it became a dialect of its own and yet it's still unmistakably Ukrainian in nature. As for "bruteforcing" - that's what is usually required when a former colonizer attempts to leverage the linguistic history into a bludgeon.
