Stardew Valley subreddit. Lol For those not in the know. Stardew Valley is pretty inclusive, you can be a boy or a girl and date any of the single characters (no matter their sex).
There is a festival that happens once per year where couples dance in a row. You can join in, if you want by asking a fellow villager to dance. The NPC’s will always dance on the side that corresponds to their sex. So, If you are a girl in the game and ask a woman to dance, you dance on the side with the men whilst your NPC date will dance on the ladies side.

There is this whole weird parenting style of being your kid’s best friend. So instead of parenting, saying no, and all that good shit, the parent gets enmeshed as a quasi-peer. Parent gets to be cool, down with the kids and all emotionally aware. But your kid doesn’t do the hard work of making their own IRL besties, becoming an individual through testing themselves away from their parents, and creating a new more adult relationship with their family. So you get NEETs wanting approval, staying too close, being upset when they don’t get asspats, always wanting more validation, and financially dependent.
Man it felt good not sharing interests with my parents, not telling them about every thought or feeling, hanging out with other teens, not having supervised activities or hobbies, moving out, buying my own shit, and not asking for help… and they thought each of these was proof of mission accomplished.

There's undoubtedly dozens of reasons why this happens, but I wouldn't be surprised if money wasn't also a part of it. You could get a job to go buy the Marilyn Manson CD, but you can't - or mostly won't, with troons - get a job to pay for all the drugs and surgery on top of the endless flags and signifiers of the subculture. Some jobs will help with that, more fool Starbucks, and there's the taxpayer, but the two easiest routes are begging online and suicide baiting your parents, something they're happily doing anyway.
Or for the hormones at least, I can suppose you hope your groomer gets them for you. But these are troons who only want to chat and play games online and scream at their parents for wrongthink, and so those will be the first places they try and also get money from doing. And one helps the other - the less your parents accept you, the more your begging might bring in, while the less money you can grift, the more you need your parents to actually believe they're helping you by paying for this shit.
There's certainly loads of other factors, but never underestimate greed and its power.

What OP troon does not understand that his daughter 3 years ago didn't grasp the situation and implications of what will happen if her father transitions. I would say she still doesn't but,
maybe she initially was open to the idea, not because she was on board but because she didn't wanted to upset her parent.
Maybe she thought her dad becoming a mom would be something like how they do it cartoons, only to get peaked, by the reality of watching someone that you love transition into an uncanny version of something that already exists in your life
and it probably doesn't help that 99% of the time every time someone troons out, their original personality gets murdered and they become a self-centered mouth piece that has to remind you how much "~~euphoric~~" and happy they are because they transitioned every 2 minutes.
Note how every response to this was "Your daugther needs therapy", while there's nothing wrong with therapy and can be helpful in some cases;
These days, there are just more shady therapists and psychiatrists that don't want to waste any time on helping the person, rather the just want to slap them an anti-depressant
prescription and then take their money with weekly visits where they drag the session to be about anything but solving the problem.
