Agreed. LGs interface sucks, we use our Tivos for streaming because the interface is just better. We don't really record anything on them now, it's just a platform to watch Netflix through. But you have to have the device and pay for the TV programing data. There is a program that turns your computer into a server connected to your Tivo to stream digital movies through though. PyTivo.

You know how you can Screencast whatever is on your phone to your TV screen via bluetooth? Well everytime I use that as a loophole to watch movies for free from my phone, it has some autodetection where the TV knows you're using illegal streaming sites, and whenever it does this, it automatically disconnects the screencast. Then if you try to do it again, it says it's not able to. It has a cooldown of like a day. It doesn't work with anime streaming sites as I've been able to use those just fine. It's only sites like 123movies or Putlocker. If you have an LG smart tv try this, go try to use screencast and go on any 123movies site and see how long you can stay on the site before it cancels your screencast.
