Generally humans require a degree of privacy. Probably because of predatory origins. Exhibitionism can be both a symptom of broken people, or it can rapidly break unbroken people. Sure for some it can be seen as a coping mechanism, some may appear "normal" outside of said exhibitionism. But it isn't truly psychologically beneficial. You could use a similar argument with social media, however people have always been tribal. However fucking, masturbating, taking a piss etc. are generally "vulnerable" actions that in a natural setting would require a great deal of privacy.

Porn is as harmful as high-fructose corn syrup. Sure, it turns people into hamplanets but nobody is forcing you to not cook your own damn meals. I think it's typically less harmful to the body than large doses of refined sugars, but worse for the soul.

How reliably do rape reports go down? By how much? Is that a reflection of the legalization or more related to other changes like changes in policing, access to support services etc?

There may be significant confounders to much of the research. Speaking to men who have been imprisoned since before smartphones may not reflect the post smartphone usage for example.
