Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

DU is only 40-ish% less radioactive than regular uranium, so while it is "less radioactive", it's still uranium and it's still radioactive. It emits almost entirely alpha radiation which means you do need to eat it or breathe it in order for it to fuck you up.

Yeah I bet it probably wouldn't give you canceraids or whatever but it's still nasty shit.

Actually, it will give you cancer. I believe that when the DU shells actually get used they aerosolize a bunch of the metal, and it ends up in food/water supplies or just gets breathed in as a result.

You'd have to inhale the power as the projectile impacts something, or eat the power.

Otherwise, you can handle it all day long
The problem is, it basically turns into an aerosol upon impact, so inhaling/ingesting the powder just requires you be downwind, or drink from the wrong stream, or eat the wrong food years later.

That it's a coin toss whether you die from heavy metal poisoning or cancer is kind of a moot point. It's nasty stuff.

The problem with Uranium isnt the radiation...
That stoff is toxic as fuck,

I suspect /pol/ was overtaken by fed bots somewhat before 2020 election. Before that happened board was somewhat pro-russian anti-globohomo, but suddenly it basically flipped 180 and started agressively shilling Biden and think that supporting globalist NATO war is based... somehow.
I'm pretty sure Britpol is just bots that are programmed to repeat the words "clarse" and/or "scran" ad nauseum whilst posting pictures of shit kebabs with a smattering of actual people who don't really do anytthing other than arguing with the local nonce.
why the Anglo army is absolute shite and could not fend off Putler and his CHUD goons
If you fund your military you can't fund the the NHS, and Britain can't go without its NHS!
Please ignore the fact that the NHS was established during the death of the British Empire and didn't exist when we were actually worth something.

Press conference between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping. In short, they agreed on a plan for cooperation until 2030.

Not all of a DU round vaporizes.

Yes, the dust is pyrophoric, but the majority of it becomes self sharpening fragments that penetrate the target.

Yes, there is heavy metal contamination, but are you drinking in the puddles next to a tank. The wind can't carry too far.

The study was already posted - when DU shells get used in an environment, you get increased rates of cancer and birth defects later on.

Presumably the areas where DU munitions are being used are where the New Ukrainians will settle their servant/working class once even more of the native men get wiped out.

Nah, there was no misinterpretation. He said what he said and he meant it. We just weren't meant to hear about it just yet.
It's frankly about time they drop the whole "supporting Ukraine" lie and just come out and say that it's a US vs Russia war with US generals dictating Ukrainian troops and the state dept deciding every move. Not that it'll change anything.

The blatancy of the Kirby statement really reminds me of the Nuland phone call in 2014 - barring future developments I'd say this is the biggest 'Nuland moment' of the war so far with just openly saying that the US controls and decides all for Ukraine; there is no 'independent ' or even 'puppet' state.

Well according to the state run propaganda accounts, admitting what everyone already knows about who's really in command of Ukraine is Pro-Kremlin.

But the decay products are beta emitters. Still not convinced DU is a wise, sensible or necessary choice here. I thought the Russians were using old stuff which would be just fine being destroyed by standard shells.

This is the result of the Fulda Gap syndrome. There was an expectation that all of this stuff would get expended in the first week of a NATO v Warsaw Pact conflict and that long term maintenance in attrition style conflict would not be required. NATO's doctrine is all about the point of impact like some Medieval Knight charge to the exclusion of all other sensibilities, it just doesn't have the production or reserves to go the long haul like Russia or China at this point in serious warfare. Desert Storm being such a resounding success has fucked the US doctrine more than anything in its military history, the US went from having pragmatic weaponry that got the job done and in large quantity to specialized gear for narrow tasks in low production quantity. Worse, the production capability was destroyed so in many cases half the weaponry the US uses like the A-10 cannot be serviced, or the Abrams Tank, which has a single plant and literally cannot be scaled up more more production or servicing of damaged tanks.

The EU currently produces 5000 rounds of artillery per month. To match Russia it would need to start supplying Ukraine with anything from 600,000 to 1.8 million total rounds per month based on a burn rate of 20-60,000 rounds per day. Russia's baseline use is 20K and it ramps up to 60K when they're on an offensive. Russia had anything from 50-70 million rounds pre-war, including 30 million of usable Soviet stock and are currently producing 380-500,000 rounds per month with a target to double that in the next 6 months.
Ya this war isn't Star Wars or out at sea. It's a mideval war in the trenches and mud. And for that type of war you need lots of tanks and bullets. And Russia is still able to crank both those things out.

The T90 may be strait out of 1990 but they exist and are still being made. A few squads of t90's or t72s is better today then 31 used Abrams tanks that might exist in the Fall.

Here are the tank numbers for 2023
Germany and the UK each only have tanks numbering in the 200s. Poland is listed as having 569.

We have a lot more than weaponry to worry about in the us army and military on general. The physical standards have completely gone down hill since desert storm so that women can make it through. Ur required in the army to do a minum of 10 fake push ups know as t push ups.

An 18 year old woman in the Marine Corps has to run 3 miles in the same time limit given to 50+ year old men.

Quality counts for something. To my knowledge, the only loss of a Challenger 2 to external fire was in a "safe" base where the lid was open and some retard in an Abrams sneezed on the fire button.

It will be interesting to see if the MOD give the Hohols Chobam/Dorchester armor.

Edit: women can be really good in some aspects. I would remind you that the Battle of the Atlantic and the Battle of Brittain were (tactically) won by girls shoving little wooden blocks around and counting really fast.

It's not the radiation that get's ya. It's the heavy metal toxicity.

Lets start off with this meme from Poast lol.

Tucker discussing how recently Kirby stated that Uncle Sam will overrule any attempts by Ukraine to get a ceasefire, because they believe it might give Russia some sort of victory.

Hohols are dying so shitlibs living in luxury in places like Martha's Vineyard don't get their feefees hurt lol.

Buttsex, San Francisco Values and the feelings of suburban nigger lovers have been the primary reasons given by the party in power in the United States leading the progtard holy war against the eternal Rus.

The only thing missing now is some kike proclaiming revenge for the Pale of Settlement, to complete the circle.

Lindsey Graham went on the Daily Show hosted by Al Franken to shill for the war.

And Lindsey Graham's top donor is Lockheed Martin.

Yeah it's fine they'll only be giving Ukrainians cancer (if they survive) and irradiating their land, no big deal.

Was watching MacGregor talk about those DU rounds.

He claims they are basically Sabot rounds and also claimed that they haven't caused any cancerous effects to those that used them.

Also claims that Russia might not have some DU equivalent if they are bringing up nuclear radiation fears.

Though I do look forward to Bloodlands War Syndrome as the setup for the reboot for the first Metal Gear Solid game, if it ever gets remade or the Russians make their own version.
