Final autistic thoughts on the SS-saga. Enjoy these ramblings.
Phil went into this interview believing for whatever reason Craig was already his friend. All his mannerisms and comments before and during the interview indicate that he was operating under the delusion Craig knew who he was and that Craig thought he is important and a friend. He spoke of Craig the same way he spoke about Rambo during the Rambo/Howard interview. The parallels with that situation will be touched on further later.
Now that this is established, the fact that he gave them no information about himself is extremely retarded. Phil believed with all his heart Craig and company was already or would become his best friends. This is contrary to reality and only contributes to his weird mental state when it comes to socialization. Back to my main point, in the days after the interview, Phil constantly whined about how they were bombarded with detractor information and never looked for facts themselves. These guys were perfect for Phil as they knew nothing about him, or at least pretty much nothing. Because Phil is a lazy retarded dumbass he never emailed them and gave them stuff they should watch, clips of stories, anything, to help his perspective, and just let them get inundated with detractor facts. This is on him, not them. He didn't partake in the info war and lost it as a result because of course these guys weren't his friends, he's fucking delusional thinking Craig even remembered jack shit about him from Screw Attack.
What was Phil's solution? They should have just trudged through hours of his content to see his true authentic self. I don't wish that on my worst enemies but if Phil had encouraged them to watch hours of his shitty gameplay they would have realized much sooner what a piece of shit he is. Not specifically because he is toxic towards everyone, but because once he would go on stream with them they'd instantly realize he put a nice guy act on.
I don't actually think the nice guy act he put on was entirely intentional, and it's actually just how Phil behaves when interacting with other people. It is well documented he is a massive bitch when it comes to conflict, and being given all that criticism and being terrified of lashing out against his supposed friends really must have gotten to him. This all leads up to the day after when he suddenly flipped his views on the interview.
Now Craig and Adam, especially Adam, were never his friends and were looking to profit off him. After all why else would they cancel their Mario Kart stream to talk about that interview and how awful it was without his permission or invitation? He could have hopped on if he wanted, but he chose not to. He doesn't get that it wasn't detractor messages or superchats that got them against him, it was his disengenuous behavior despite the fact they gave him every oppurtunity to give his side of the story. His constant deflections told them what a piece of shit he is, and that lashing out he's done since has really shown to them how two-faced he is.
But no, it's they're fault for believing slanderous bullshit and doing absolutely criminal things like reading troll superchats and talking about him without permission. Why else would he have needed to do that stupid cope about how this was his plan from the beginning to see if he'd get a fair shake WHEN HE WAS SUCKING OFF CRAIG THE NIGHT BEFORE???? It was all for fame, of course it was, they profitted off my victimhood and didn't care about me at all. They're fake friends just like Jon and Howard were. That vile sick motherfucker Adam led Jon, I mean Craig, away. They fucking owe him for everything they get from now on for his time when they just used it to belittle him.
I'm so glad Craig showed that deleted scene with the Bison hat because it really does show Phil's inability to read the room. He had that bit in his head since the beginning of the interview, the hat was literally on his lap. And of course he had to play victim one final time about how people think it's a Nazi hat thinking he'd get sympathy. That far into that interview and Phil still thought Craig would be a buddy now that Adam had gone. Same with crying about people calling him a groomer, scammer, all this other shit.
If one day Craig, Adam, or the SideScrollers has some scandal or something bad happens to one of them, you just know Phil will make a cope Tweet abut how they were assholes and he was a victim. His autistic totally-not-threat of exposing Craig and Adam proves it, even if it was a flailing attempt at boosting his ego a little.
