General Wrestling Discussion

So AEW is going to Regina for a televised event. That's going to be such a dead crowd.
I think they could get a better reaction there than places that AEW, WWE and other wrestling companies run all the time and have been burned to the ground. When I think of AEW shows that I thought had really good and engaged crowds, I always remember places like Indianapolis feeling pretty good. Places that don't get it all the time can sometimes appreciate it more.

I think the problem with AEW's women's division is that they try to do to much, and no one is watching women's wrestling for complex reversals and flippy flips. But thats what they keep trying to do while also booking the women that no one cares about. Let me give you an example of someone that does it better. Because of @XYZpdq Jr. I've been watching more old Triple A recently, and in doing so I stumbled upon Lady Maravilla vs Big Mami. Is it not a pretty match, but by gawd the crowd boos every cheating, underhanded move by the rudo, and Big Mami is getting cheered for every bodyslam and clothesline she pulls off when she isn't being triple teamed by the heels. AEW insists on being a workrate company, even in their women's division, which is pants on head retarded. Willow Nightingale is ridiculously over for a woman, but instead of featuring her, we get The Mid Event Mafia skanking up the women's slot.

Everybody's least favorite wrestling lolcow has come back to pasture to deliver some milk.

I must've missed the part people were mentioning CM Punk and his injury status... I also don't think I've ever seen someone so wound up over their own wrestling career. Punk is putting Bret Harts sports article about the screwjob to shame with this.

CM Punk came into AEW like a lion and then left like a bitch at this point I think AEW should've never got him in the 1st place.

Oh and here's a question for all of you Wrestling fans here you think that WWE sale is going to happen I got at a 60% chance of happening and honestly I think Disney is just that pants-on-head retarded to buy them as they need content for Disney+ or ESPN.

Personally, I can't wait for all of the WWE/Disney fans to try to make this a win as old Vinny Mac who will be back 100% in control has more sexual cases dropped on him and Disney PR goes up in flames trying to protect him.

Hell he might fit in well with all of those degenerate folks working at mouse at the moment

Deserved or not, I give MJF shit a lot of the time, but I don't remember him outing himself as bitchmade on freaking Instagram during his "time away".
No, but there was all this shit in the dirt sheets saying he was unhappy or he skipped out on autograph signings or he was saying shit in interviews with Wade Keller that wasn't cleared with management. It seemed like there was a kernel of truth in there, but they turned it into and elaborate worked shoot, culminating in a fake voicemail recording of Tony begging MJF to return playing at All Out.

Again, FTR bald said some pretty gnarly shit about AEW and they brought him back. Even if it turns out it's just for a single feud, the fact remains Internet bitching did not stop them from bringing him back. They clearly took advantange of the fact fans thought they were done based on all the shit Dax said to get a pop at Revolution.

Likewise, I've no doubt the backstage brawl with Punk was real, but after MJF's press conference performance and Punk throwing shit out there on social media after being mostly silent for the last sixish months, I'm convinced it has turned into an elaborate worked shoot.

I don't disagree it sounds retarded, but Tony does retarded shit all the time. I don't think this would be out of character. Do you think after playing a fake voicemail of himself begging MJF to come back at All Out and bringing FTR back in after all the shit Dax has said, Tony wouldn't let go ahead and let Punk air some grievances in IG to create buzz and work the fans?

For many years, I thought Hogan, Jarrett and Vince Russo indicent at Bash in the Beach 2000 was a shoot..

Turns out it was completely planned, except for the last Vince Russo segment where he went overboard "calling him a piece of shit" so Hogan sued WCW for defamation.

But either even as a shoot, it was a horrible angle and the fans let them know it also. Booker T, who ended up champion when the PPV was over got buried because of the nonsense. It hastened the death of WCW.

Allegedly Russo really wanted Booker T to go over and Hogan kept "that doesn't work for me brother" and it finally came to a head on that PPV.

He did make his engagement and the broken engagement a thing for wrestling. The woman in question even made a ton artwork with him in it like some crazy stalker type.

Josh Alexander has had to relinquish the Impact World Title - triceps tear that’ll require surgery. So we’re getting Steve Maclin vs Kushida for the vacant title, and honestly that one could go either way

I’ll take that over another Interim World Title, or another Tournament - AEW ran both of those into the ground, huh…

Hogan was right though. Booker T was never going to be over except when he was part of Harlem Heat. No matter how hard the WWE tries to convince us otherwise.

Booker was over as shit on his own back in 98. If anything, Harlem Heat did him more harm than good at that point in time. Especially when the Harlem Heat 2000 trash fire came around.
