It was awhile ago, so my memory's not fresh. But I recall articles where his teammates spoke out during the season. You have to keep in mind these girls had a lot to lose if they weren't careful about voicing their dissatisfaction. I believe at least one of his former teammates is outspoken about it now.

A couple days old and I'll take the clocks, but I never understood why some women would use the term "male-identified female" until seeing Dylan Mulvaney parade around as Eloise, the children's book protagonist. Many comments I saw were women praising him and finding nothing wrong with a grown, 26 year old gay man in drag acting like a little girl. Yet I'm almost certain these same women would tell a 30 y/o woman prancing around in clothing made for a 5 y/o to grow the hell up.
It baffles my mind that if a seemingly "normal" adult man who does not identify as trans did something like this, the woke crowd would go in on them. I agree with the user who said (pages ago) that men in dresses are now one of the most protected classes in America. Even Laverne Cox can play female roles and expressing any disgust is troonphobic.
Also, I know no one IRL who actually uses the term "cis" or "cis-gender", and after some digging, found old comments showing that there are many women who just want to be called "women" and find the "cis" suffix to be redunant. But of course, the tolerant troon brigade keeps pushing this shit.
This comment is a year old, but it fits a lot of the apples to oranges logic I see among troons and their supporters.
