The only way you can do something with an IP is trying to scam an ISP to reveal you additional information, which isnt only illegal but it would also definitely require you to already have some identifying information of the person you want to dox and we are talking stuff like ID and SSID and current phone, name, last name, date of birth. You would need to send a subpoena as a law enforcement official to salvage any information about an IP and that's always on a need to know basis on any kind of info you get.

You can look it up and if it's a naked IP get a narrow enough region, and most people don't read tos and might agree to getting themselves scraped.

Yes but even that narrow enough region even if it's a small village or a couple of city blocks is still useless unless you have something else to tie the one getting doxed to. Say you have IP : 123.456.7.89( example IP ), that alone is gonna return the geolocation of the general area because it is assigned by a local hub box. That gives you the information about the country and the general living area of the person of interest. Now if you wanted to dox this person though that alone is useless. You'd need to cross reference it with some kind of facebook, email, twitter, that links back to an account that you know is that person's. Even if the general area is a suburban area with 5-6 houses that's still 5-6 different families and you can't just shoot blank. The only way the IP can dox someone is if it responds to a rural segregated enough area like a farm in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and that's if they don't have a "Fiber to the home" type of connection because then you will be looking at every farm in the general vicinity ( many many miles apart ) that also has fiber. So yeah IP alone is shit but if you have other info to combine it with then you are getting somewhere.

He owned a very small kiwi offshoot named "freedom farms" and spent months socking in gunt chat under over a dozen different accounts.
He has been an immediate ban on site for a long time now, but he is very well known amongst regulars in gunt chat.
I knew that he would eventually become recognized by bigger names and I was planning to make a huge thread on him once it happened.
Godwinson noticed him spamming in his stream's livechat and decided to investigate cowboy's channel.
Cowboy loved this and asked Godwinson to give him a new name, so he was dubbed "Clint Neetwood" from then on.
Elaine Miller (Trollcow) started trying to groom cowboy on poast and on a shady website named "sneed.social."
I screencapped a conversation where Elaine was trying to groom cowboy in Godwinson's livechat, and this prompted EM to place a bitcoin bounty on my head.
Because of this nonsense and because cowboy grew on me over time, I decided not to write a thread on him so I could spare him the negative attention.
He is also 17yo and it doesn't sit right with me to write a thread on somebody that young.
Luckily cowboy has finally been convinced that he should leave the sektur for his own good and he has deleted his YouTube channel and his freedomfarms website on the condition that we archive his YouTube videos and his soundcloud music for him.
