Resident Evil - Virgin Vampire Wine Mom vs Chad Magnetic Lebowski

I never got all the "QTEs are sooooo bad" thing, I'm not saying it's a creative mechanic or anything, but it seems like one of the least offensive gaming things nowadays, tho I mostly play fighting games, so maybe I'm not getting the full picture.

Fuck, you guys are actually making me consider buying it. I must resist the urge to consooooom.
Just go for it. There's a lot of content in it and that's just the campaign. I hope they give girthy DLC and maybe some for the campaign. I don't think the RPD outfit is in this which is incredibly idiotic. Although it may be in the future. I'd like to see Ada's classic dress in it as her default is completely retarded.

I started up NG+ and I'm on chapter 6 with two hours in which is like 10x faster than my first playthrough. I am picking up all treasures.

I plan on going for Professional S+ rank this weekend when some guides get put up on YT.

Cannot wait to play. Thank you younger brother for buying the game. If it's good, great. If it's bad, it was free, so who gives a fuck?

Yea as much as everyone wanted another CP2077 or Forspoken to whine about the consensus including mine seems to be that this is genuinely good and Capcom did a stellar job.
Yeah, I would highly recommend it. Going into this very pessimistic, but they did a fine job. Some cuts, but it doesn't ruin the experience. Maybe U3 will be in Separate Ways or something. They remove that and you get a boss fight with Krauser with just knives.

They definitely used RE5's marshland section as inspiration for the lake areas and with the ending, they definitely hint at them remaking RE5.

But I would prefer they go after CV and not do a half assed job. Cuts on that wouldn't bother me much given the game is just painful to play. It would be the same year as 2make so Claire wouldn't be older. I just wish they would cut her hair and make it the more iconic hairstyle of the high ponytail and bangs.

A side note. The shotgun in this is probably my favorite to shoot in any RE game ever. They did such an excellent job with how it destroys bodies and it's sound design is stellar.

Also Ashley schoolgirl outfit mod is on the Nexus so if that was your main complaint go nuts.

It's in this game too. No scarf, but she removes her coat at the end of the game and it's pretty much the same thing. Although it's not a skirt, it's shorts.

I never got the whole doomerism about Capcom. save for the niggering of some of their franchises, the games themselves have ranged from acceptable to great. There was a whole lot of low expectations and disappointment in this thread a couple pages back (including from myself) but now that the game is out im very pleasantly surprised. Game is really good!

Hope Capcom keeps the decent streak up to Dragon's Dogma 2...

With me, it was 3make that did that to me the most. I didn't care for RE7 at all and didn't bother with RE8, but 2make was just okay and I looked forward to 3make and they ended up giving us an abortion that lived.

DMC is pretty much dead to me with how I felt about the last one as they've hit a creative dead end where they keep treading the same ground over and over striving to be a new DMC3 and failing miserably. At least with this I have some hope for RE. If they give us RE5 or CV, I just don't want more lazy shit.

The only S+ Pro clip I can find. I'll use this or another one for my runs later this week.

As long as Separate Ways is expanded in length some, and most importantly has plenty of unique areas that weren't in the game before so it feels more like it's own campaign. I won't have an issue for Separate Ways being a DLC. It's also worth noting Separate Ways wasn't in the original Gamecube release and that was the one I grew up on.

If Ada fights the second Verdugo that just disappears and is literally called 'U-III' in one of the files, and it mutates to be basically a more insectoid U-3, that would be neat.

She should definitely get a unique boss. I dunno if they would give her new areas but I would imagine the grapple gun will be used and you'll be able to transverse the areas much easier. I hope they give her a shoulder mounted crossbow and not that hip fired one. I almost hope she isn't the one to kill Krauser like in the last one. The way it's built up in this one, Leon should be the one to definitively kill him.

Who was U-II in the files? I did read that but I forget what it was. Was it Verdugo? I remember the file talking about the guy that became one of the Verdugos.

How much of the gore was toned down? I remember being blown away by the decap explosions in the original. I know the chainsaw decap was retarded removed.

Only game I remember that censored itself was REmake with the Hunter decap being in the trailer and it wasn't in the main game. Unless it's present in the GC version and I don't remember it.
i haven't played it yet. they seriously removed some of the violence ? i remember gasping that time when i first saw Leon get his head sawed off when i played through it on gamecube, definitely a memorable death

I already addressed it in a few posts up. The gore is probably the highest it's ever been in the series in all honesty. The way bodies blow apart from the shotgun is so satisfying.

Like you'll blow their chest away and see the spinal cord and all the parasite tentacles are on the inside.

Yeah, U-I are the Novistadors, U-II is the Verdugo that used to be Salazar's personal butler (which is probably the Verdugo you fight because you fight it right after you find the file) and U-III is the second Verdugo that I think used to be a housemaid or something and you find it's file in Salazar's throne room.

I noticed that when I read the files as well. Definitely coincidental that the 2nd Verdugo was called “U-III”.

Because Capcom has a cycle where they make a good game or two and then fuck the next ones up. Given how well loved RE4 is, how badly 3make turned out, and the Capcom leaks, people were rightly skeptical.

I don't know if 2make qualifies is the last "good" RE in imo, maybe it does. But before that. What would you say is the last good game in the series? It's probably RE4 lol. RE5 clearly is a step down even though it's story was apart of the main universe. RE6 is just all over the place.

I would want an RE5 remake just so it doesn't have that boring yellow color palette on fucking everything.

I may give RE8 a shot the next time it's discounted. One streamer I follow said his biggest problem with it is that it's essentially RE7 2. But most people said it's fun so... maybe. I know a little of the story I hate the fact Spencer is tied in with this lore.

The remake of 3 wasn't bad, just too short to buy at full price. I bought it for 15 bucks and thought it was great.

They've all been fine really, except for Resident Evil 6, which was just beyond the pale.

those are some mighty big shoes to fill and i'm not confident they can do it. it was a literal diamond in the rough because it was such a throwaway title by capcom. the only way they could sell it was giving access to an RE6 demo by buying it. when i eventually went back to it, i found out how amazing the game really was (especially on PC), and the quality of exploration and combat they'll have to do a really, really good job to bring back. i never played dragon's dogma online, but apparently people are still working on emulating it and it may be playable again someday. i heard a lot of good things about it, especially its unique classes.

Im more optimistic about it, in my opinion, all they need to do is copy paste the same gameplay in a bigger world with more monsters, if they add more to that, like more classes, co-op, etc... Thats just a sweet bonus for me.

Hell, they could just re-release the same game but with all the cut/planned content they had at the beginning and i'd buy it. Apparently the moon would've been an explorable area in the game along with other islands, i wouldve loved to see that

I'm disappointed at the lack of ears.
