I said earlier in the thread that I think this happens once a channel hits that million sub benchmark. That's a very solid basis for a lucrative career in content creation and I think that once they hit that level they realize that they've got skin in the game and start to play to the center more. Which is ironic since most of these channels got big not by appealing to the LCD but by building a dedicated niche following. But by the time they get in the big leagues most of the people youtube sticks in front of their videos are teenagers, as someone else pointed out already. It is what it is I guess.

There was a time when I thought content creation might be fun. Then I realized that any successful channel or streamer is going to spend the bulk of their time fielding inane questions and comments from children and ESL retards about anime and Warhammer40k and the allure completely soured.
