Mega Rad Gun Thread

Something I have always found interesting is documents of military reactions to enemy firearms, I know in either this thread or the GunTuber thread someone posted the CIA reaction to the AK-47, does anyone have any documentation relating to:
1. The German and or Japanese reaction to the M1 Garand
2. The Soviet reaction to the M16
3. Anything else that fits this criteria

The Soviet reaction to the M16 was the 5.45x39 AK-74.

It's kind of a hodgepodge too. If you're gonna use a sub-2k why would you not get a Glock so you could use the same magazines? And why go with an AR pistol if you're just gonna shoulder the thing the entire time?

I mean, besides being a heavily damaged woman.

stickers are all over the place: weird red tape thing with white out NATO cross, "GRUNT///" which evokes military imagery, stussy logo on magazine in sub 2k, tape with sharpie writing on it, weird skull printout taped to a magazine, et c. the shooter had the opportunity to have compatible magazines and ammo in two weapons and didn't do it, slings are a complete mess, and further the first contact with the OOS sounded like basic gangland back and forth. at least incompetence didn't raise the body count higher than it could have been.

Possible gun show special?
or he bought one as a one-off or a discontinued model, or a receiver set or barreled upper and pistol lower from different sources (local store, then online). "gun show special" maybe... it kind of implies a used gun marked up to some weird value or stock from a local dealer trying to get rid of it which might be the case.

It's a $90 upper made by Lead Star Arms. Doesn't look like one of their prebuilds off their site. Possible gun show special?
Nothing more masculine than having "GRUNT" in big bold letters on the side of your gun.
or a receiver set or
Check out Daddy Warbucks over here... Buys his receivers in "sets." Well la dee da! (Frankengun Riders saddle up!)

Glowies are learning I guess. Didn't the supermarket shooter have all kinds of cool kid tier shit?

Just got my BCM "blem" upper to not find a single scratch on it
I bought my pistol as a Blem, near a year later and I still haven't seen anything off.

If I had to guess, the finish is a little off, was supposed to be an olive drab color, it's more green than the pictures lead on.

better than average kit
i looked some stuff up, the guy did put effort into wearing body armor, had a basic (compliant i think, actually since it had a shorty mag and no flash hider) AR-15 A2 rifle with some of those new zealand shooter paint pen writings all over it and a two point sling. combined with eye pro, ear pro, a helmet and some other bitch gear for humping, he was better outfitted for a fight than a lot of other sad sacks... but he was still nothing special. if anything, at the beginning of the shooting the stand out quality was his continuum of violence and tempo. he also gave up pretty quick.

of all the domestic T's the guy that was blown up by police drone in the parking structure is still the "best" so far and his gear was just practical and efficient, it was his movements and handling that kept him on top until he was cornered.

Funny story about this that I think I'll finally share: I'm apart of a fairly large group of people in my area and we all go shooting together at a local gun club every once in awhile. One of the people in this group was actually in contact with good ol' Peyton on discord and gave him advice on kit building. Maybe a couple of months later the feds brought him in for questioning because discord logs everything imaginable and they won't think for a second when it comes to turning things over.

No, we no longer associate with him.

I'm okay with it so far. I'm thinking of going with a centurion barrel for it. Not sure what lower I want yet.

The biggest sin of the load out other than the sticker is that the Kel-tek looks like it's in 9mm, not .40 cal.

I think the answer for the glock is cost honestly. Why do you think I'm saving for a SD40VE? Cost is a major factor, this whole load out reeks of cost savings.
