That's not true- it asks if you've ever been *involuntarily* committed. Somebody can theoretically be committed 8 trillion times in their lifetime, but if each and every time was completely voluntary then they are free and clear to own guns or even get conceal carry permits or even become a FFL themselves.

Involuntary commitment even once is a lifetime ban on firearm ownership- and is just as bad under US law as being a violent convicted felon in that it fucks with your ability to get a job and vote. Thankfully you have to be an extreme danger to yourself and others to be involuntarily commited- Chris Chan when he cut a hole in his taint didn't even be involuntarily committed.

I don't know why people keep focusing on this "how do we protect kids" argument. Hasn't the last 20 years opened your eyes yet, none of what the Government was doing was ever about protecting kids. Repeatedly mentally ill people get access to guns (Person was on Local Police and FBI radar) and then they stand back and let it happen. Hell in one case the Police got a fucking stand down order and let the person kill a bunch of kids inside the school

Maybe one is, but what I saw in the majority of the clip was this rifle.

The barrel clearly sticks out past the handguard, front sight post is affixed to the barrel, you can see the rear sight hump, and there's no mag in front of the trigger guard. It's got the exact silhouette of the Keltec
