Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Is MrBallen still just doing gay True Crime "WHAT HE DID WILL SHOCK YOU" or has he done any supernatural stuff at all recently? I liked his style a couple of years ago but I just don't enjoy real life killer content. Give me people vanishing in the woods and turning up 500 miles away inside out or whatever, that's interesting even if it's bullshit. Video after video of "just some sick guy chopped up a kid" is just kind of nauseating.
He's doing whatever this is. His content might be good but this thumbnail/title combo is too much for me.

Tangentially related, but the sad reality is that this type of stuff works. I was listening to a reaction channel (I know, I know) and he mentioned how he didn't like doing the "like, share, subscribe" thing, but he talked with a few people in his sphere and everyone told him they see an uptick when then they do shit like this.

Dreading posted his next video on Patreon. I feel bad for leaking it last time so I will not post the unlisted link out of respect for him. Once the video is public I’ll update this post.

Anyways it covers the Susan Powell case. There is interrogation footage but it doesn’t come until 45 minutes in. He’s also put in video chapters which I appreciate. Forgot how absolutely bat shit this case is. Ngl the stalker father in law isn’t terrible at writing music even though it’s immensely creepy.

So I watched a decent amount of Dylan the Knight Owl's creepypasta series last night, as recommended by Tokibun, and I have to say...I misjudged the guy. The "sexy" voice thing has got to go. It's miserable. But otherwise, he's a pretty good listen. He's got a decent sense of humor, doesn't do any of that "essay" shit (he does, unfortunately, censor words but it's nothing that our boy Wendigoon wouldn't), and even throws a couple edgy jokes around here and there. It feels a bit disappointing that I have to give a guy credit just for using a clip of another person saying "retard" but that's where we're at.

So I have to say, I give it a recommend if you're looking for some nostalgia. You'll have to skip over the parts where he starts talking like a 14-year-old desperately trying to seduce his friend's 42-year-old mother, but those are also the most boring parts of the video series anyway. The ones where he just relaxes into his normal dork voice, summarizes the pasta, and gives his thoughts on it are much better.

You could try Tara Devlin, but her videos are all about japanese themed spooky shit from the japanese internet.
I said it in this thread before but Tara is:
>Look at this spooky thing that someone wrote in 2ch
>It's 99% likely to be someone doing a LARP
>BUT WHAT IF IT ISN'T??
>Thank you for watching

New dreading video, this time it's a whooping 4 hour video and yes, most of the video is
interrogation/interviews.

Thanks for posting the link I was going to update my post from earlier but I’m lazy so nah.
Glad the Dylan suggestion worked. I really liked his Harry Potter iceberg video that I watched a year ago. I do appreciate how creative he tries to be with the format.
But yeah he needs to speak normally lol

Does the creator make all the paintings by hand or are they AI? I’ve been wondering this ever since other people covered this.

unsure. they sell art so i'm guessing it's all hand painted.
Didnt people scream their lungs out at the creator because the series hinted that the antagonist sexually abused a child
I could be remembering wrong.
i dunno, i only discovered it on like saturday. that wouldn't surprise me

Sorry if I'm a bit late and this has already been discussed, but I wanted to say something about it.

Nigga, the plot of your whole series revolves around le spooky ghosts trying to get people to commit suicide. I dont think that's "respectful" to people who have had loved ones kill themselves.
To a certain extent I can agree that certain topics should be handled with care, acting like it shouldn't be in horror, or that its lazy and disrespectful to include it is fucking retarded. I fucking hate it when dipshits try to moralfag and police what is and isnt acceptable. Because newsflash, if we run off of retard logic, nothing would be acceptable.

I mean there's the one series she has, the "2ch Mysteries" thing, but I've watched a shit ton of her stuff and she never really tries to sell any of it as real.

In fact, she's said she doesn't even believe in the supernatural and just likes horror

I don’t care if you’re a victim don’t speak for all victims as a collective because something triggered you it’s so fucking obnoxious. I don’t mind sex abuse used for horror so long as it’s clearly horror related and not some fetish. Faces is good analog horror covering a made up murderer. Real murderers also had child victims so this isn’t fetishizing abuse in any way for horror.
Alright sperging over this is why I don’t have a Twitter account so I can avoid constant streams of retardation.

Fuck this is so infuriating. The fucking father/grandpa, whatever fucking makes me so fucking mad. I can't believe he got custody of the boys and fucked up his son.

And that son absolutely killed that woman.

I'm just more mad at a court system dividing the kids evenly between m/f, even if it was Utah, and shit sucks ass in Utah.

ETA: why the fuck did he recommend skipping the interviews, but gave no warning about the 911 call. He comes back at 4:31:00ish, but fucking christ.

I haven't been a big fan of Dreadings newer videos, but this case was really interesting to me. I sat through most of it but skipped about an hour of interrogation in the middle cause it was just the same repetitive shit. I wouldn't have minded if the interrogators were pressing him harder, but it was getting boring to me. I enjoyed that the beginning segment was long and detailed. Boy oh boy the Dad Steven was a huge creep. I was hoping that he would be the culprit since I enjoyed hearing about his lunacy so much.

Overall, this gives me a bit of hope for the channel. One thing that bothers me is the clear decline in analysis that he's provided on the footage lately. Other channels like Matt Orchard provide just a bit more analysis, but what really makes Matt stand out is that he picks some really good cases, he doesn't include every second of the interrogation, and his commentary is great. I get that a minority of people like to see the entirety of interrogation, but I think it's better to clip the highlights and direct viewers to the raw footage.

Yeah, I was way more interested in the dad because the main guy's interview was just *dead air.* And I agree: the opening segment was really well done, and kept me wondering what the twist would be, since it sounded like he still had custody of the kids.
(:_(

But even after the interviews, I was interested in the cyberbullying aspect, and whatever his sister was up to.

It just really irks me that he bookmarks the interviews, but the 911 call, when the house goes up in flames, doesn't get a mention until it's too late.

I've seen another true crime YouTuber cover this case before, so I had heard some of the 911 call. I'm just name-blind, and didn't recognize it until I heard the caller say she smelled gas. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, or my completely valid fear of house fires, but knowing what happened to those little boys makes me sick...
