At this point I think Macron could appoint himself as leader for life and the French won't do anything about besides light up some bins.

In a reality where the system itself shuts down the economy for months at a time by locking people inside their homes, to believe that "shutting down" the economy for two or three days would cause it any problem is absurd. Strike action is a symptom of cognitive dysfunction passed on by the boomers who were affected by the Marxist mystique of the XIXth century.
Today, if peasants are a problem, the factory is moved 3,000 kilometres away. Or, conversely, peasants are moved 3,000 kilometres to replace them.

boomers also have a lot of time on their hand to look more into things; the average wagie simply doesn't have the time or drive between work, kids and spare amounts of free time to get more of a pre-chewed digest of current MSM. boomers also tend to get out of the bughives at some point after seeing everything getting more and more shit, which contributes to the mentioned redpilling.
boomers certainly fucked a lof ot shit up, but also tend to vote more center-right in my experience. the leftie shit is usual the domain of young(er) urbanites.

They do exist. The typical profile of the "fedposting boomer" on Facebook is very amusing.
Nevertheless, their darling is indeed Macron (as the data shows). Then there are a good number who remain hopeless leftists - found in French villages promoting the settlement of third world immigrants; there are many cases currently underway in France and it's a tough battle. As for those on the "right", they mostly represent the now rather marginal electorate of the gentrified Republican right, in fact the centre-right (but decently represented in the Parliament), which stubbornly refuses any alliance with the "extreme right". In one word: cuckservatives. Their vote against the government's destitution recently in the Assembly was decisive.
Besides a few exceptions, these boomers also have no housing problems and even own one or more second homes (two thirds of which are detained by 60yo+). One in ten homes in France is a second home, making it the country with the most second homes per capita in the world.
There are many of these in some regions (see map below, in dark red areas where second homes are more prevalent than main homes). Meanwhile, home ownership for young people without decades of debt ahead of them seems like a sweet dream, and rents in cities are prohibitive. This is probably not exclusive to France, but it is the situation. Another problem, more specific to France, is that it is increasingly difficult to rent in certain rural areas, as the laws are abusively protective of squatters, who can stay with impunity for months or even years and wreck everything. But I digress.
All this to say that boomers generally have a comfortable lifestyle that they would rather defend than risk any "revolutionary" venture.
