There is no room for sympathy towards her. This person had the ability to consciously break into an elementary school, look at huddled, terrified 9 year olds, and end their lives in front of other people. Audrey’s parents are devout Christians. Audrey was raised as devout Christian and at least until 2018 or so was a devout Christian. I only say “until 2018” is because there’s no evidence either way after that and the 2018 is based on her mom mentioning the devotional she kept around that year. I’m sure we will find out a lot more on that front in the coming days.

This wasn’t a woman who was raised in some progressive, atheist, communist Christian hating home. She was raised in a very devout Christian home, and for some very fucked up reasons, turned against and murdered people within the community she was raised by.

The one friend she messaged before murdering children responded to her suicide threat by offering prayers for her.

I’ll be very curious to find out what the last few years were like for her. No doubt she was very mentally ill and thinking becoming a “man” would solve her problems only made it far worse. Very interested to know if her parents supported their “daughter’s transition” or were very opposed to it or if they tried to pray for her instead of put her in a psych ward.

Given the result lots of bad choices, whatever they were, all around.

I wonder if this was a situation where a lonely, depressed, and autistic woman was convinced by the internet that the reason for this was because she was a troon rather than a combination of those prior 3 things. For autistic people, they don’t know what it’s like to feel as a normal person does so don’t really have a baseline to compare how they feel to. What might feel like normal insecurities about one’s body are magnified into supposed gender dysphoria and people will cling to things that give them an explanation for what they’re feeling (even if it’s not entirely accurate to their actual experience).
