Hard to say, im not familiar enough with Milo’s personality and ways to really say why he’s being so passive about the whole thing. Maybe you were right when you said it’s a Mexican standoff, they both have something on each other. What that “something” is is anyone’s guess. Or maybe Milo sees some of his younger self in Nick, he’s said before he believes Nick is gay. Maybe there some empathy/sympathy there, a soft spot. Or maybe it’s just that neither of them are mad enough to go scorched earth, they see no point in making sworn enemies out of each other, they’re content to be mostly hands-off and just make passive-aggressive digs here and there. Hard to say.

He and Laura Loomer have been at it for a while now. Maybe he doesn’t want to give her any ammo and knows that if he makes an enemy out of Nick at the same time he’s in this nasty feud with Loomer, Nick will give her more info to use against him. He doesn’t want to be having nasty fights with 2 people at once, it’s not very strategic. If he thinks like that, anyway (many people do).

Or it could just be that he doesn’t consider their tiff to be worthy of going scorched-earth over, he doesn’t think Nick’s said or done anything severe enough to warrant him getting nasty.

Catty Milo is so fun to read.
