This is a myth perpetuated by gun control advocates. The truth was something like you could only take a limited quantity of issued ammo with you, but you could buy all the ammo you wanted personally. Also switzerland has mandatory military service for males.

insecure americans get really angry when people bring up banning guns (i didn't even say i supported that action and people still got uppity) so this is actually a nuanced take.

put these people in asylums before they hurt normal people. have armed security guards protect the schools. doing any kind of preventive measure will be miles better than just talking about it and forgetting about school shootings till it inevitably happens again.

To be perfectly honest, I agree.

Like it, or not, autism, and other learning disabilities, and mental illnesses have skyrocketed over the years, and society doesn't really know how to handle it. You can't just dump them in asylums anymore because they were shut down (and in most cases, rightfully so), but now there's no alternative, and that means they're now running around causing havoc, and being a danger to both themselves, and the people around them.

I don't think everyone with autism is bad, far from it, but I do think a lot of the so-called "high-functioning" ones are little more than low-functioning sociopaths who are spiteful, bitter, and hateful towards the world because they know what they are, and hate that they can't be normal, so they take it out on the people who are.

When situations like this happen, and people sperg about "muh mental health" I can't help, but notice how they never talk about this, and how much it seems like they're ignoring the elephant in the room.

I don't know what the exact solution is, but I think the starting point is that society has to accept the fact that some people are just born broken, and you cannot help them. As awful as it is to say, you can't save everyone, and sometimes you just have to let them go.

Due to the mild 'tism drawing me to staring at feet all the time I'm kind of a sneaker head, too... The security footage still is literally a blown up picture from a potato cam.
