Polarization didn't just come about. It's fostered in the media system. And it's fostered in major online spaces. Remember the Reddit purges? Remember the Gamegate exodus? Remember the coining of the terms "misinformation" and "disinformation"? The establishment is trying to create an authoritarian narrative system. And luckily on the internet, the actual factual information is still out there to push back.

So the actual polarization is Establishment narrative, vs Observable Truth. It's the powerful, attempting to push it's narrative on the masses. And as we can see, most of the time it's working. And those people get caught up in Left vs Right, Democrat vs Republican. Communist vs Nazi. All that is the tribalism to distract them from noticing they are being manipulated.

It's why I hate the Republican cheerleaders so much, they still think it's their Fantasy Football league against the other Fantasy Football league. Dude, they are owned by the same company.

Sociopaths typically have no morals. And they don't become fixated on certain topics/subjects and obsess about them, even when it's not socially acceptable in public.

Autists typically have morals. But they can put them aside completely to discuss a hypothetical with you, then they watch the person they are talking to get enraged that someone else could discuss something so horrific so nonchalantly. The listener then starts to think the Autist is some kind of Pedophile or Serial Killer. Because they are a normal person, who seems to have their personality always linked in with their personal moral framework.
