Its Cobes, he lies and does the shit he does to look like the cool goth rockstar, and since he's a total regard it just comes out worse than what he wanted, also keep in mind he's hammered out of his brain half the time as well. Because Chance is an entirely surface-level creature. His mind has zero depth to it, as well as his thought process.

Every opinion he holds is as simple as it can be. When asked to describe himself without mentioning the trolls all he can say is "Well unlike you, Marty-" because he can't handle any kind of nuance. He forgets everything he said moments ago because, especially while raging, he is just working on instinct.
