It's comical, really. Dead kids and the majority of the news cycles is "But - What about us? The true victims! Every day for us is a holocaust!"

Because making schools harder places for speds to wrack up kill counts, is something right-wingers have been suggesting for decades. The lefties only care about disarmament. They don't care about dead kids. Schools and the kids in them are literally sacrificed upon the alter of gun control and ensuring the righties never have a win.

Schools are targets because their such soft ones. No one is armed there, there's no expectation for anyone to be there but weak women and children and perhaps a handful of men of varying ages.

There is more staff training and school initiatives targeting "Mental Health" than ever right now. It's the hot thing. Slipped into that is often the sentiment or suggestion that SRO officers make students feel unsafe or anxious. That obvious security measures do Harm and are actually ineffectual. It's the nuttiest thing to witness especially when there have been cases where bad things have happened at schools after liquidation of SRO positions.
