Yeah, generally agree. They're probably concerned mostly about releasing it in a way that causes them to be accused of 'stoking hatred against trans people'. Alternatively, there could be various accusations in the manifesto against individuals that may be criminal or defamatory in nature, so they don't want to throw it out there with a bunch of unproven allegations by the murderer. Things like 'my teacher raped me' or 'my parents beat me' or anything else like that would probably need to be blacked out at least.

It's kindof a question that's hard to answer, because unless the perp directly states he did it because they were a genderspecial, you can't really report it as such based on just impugning. Like the Buffalo guy or the Tree of Life guy had plenty of posts rambling about the blacks and the jews and so it's an easy connection there, but it's so rare to actually see a homicide involving someone trans that to then -also- have the goods to label it as an identity-based hit is a crapshoot.

Rule of thumb would be that it's both probably a little more than two, and yet still infinitely less than their claim to be the most hounded, most persecuted, most blah blah blah minority in the country. They live in a bubble where if cletus in bumfuck yells at an aiden, every last coombrain in the country knows about it within five seconds. Social media has rotted most of the country's ability to understand scale, but that's only magnified with people who spend their every waking moment on it.
