So, in 2014, Google retired their ban on fake profiles in Google Plus. Nothing big, righty? What could go wrong?

Autism always finds a way. So, with this barrier rescinded, the RP community - that old cancerous tumor of the internet - has a new home.

So, now it's all at your fingertips. Simple as typing roleplay, and say, maybe a couple keywords of your choice. I hope you're not expecting quality though. These are strictly the creations of at-most, a 14-year old.

The result of one such search, appropiately filed under Kyrie Elesion:

Fare, as this image displays, is typical for roleplaying . You'll find half-dragon half-wolf half-ultimate lifeform half-hedgehogs lurking about every corner. Poor grammar is a must, of course.

Usually when you do shitty freeform rp there are 'rounds' where someone posts, wait for others to post and then write again, this might go on for hours simply just to teach a character something as simple as using stones to break nuts and people 'pad' their posts with stupid shit.

Want to wait for 1 hours for 5 characters to change a lightbulb? Freeform is for you and you aren't quite dealing with the next Stephen King or Tolkien either.

Okay let me give you an actual example, this is a very acceptable and stupid 'post' by someone I call Lance. Lance was a supernova who exploded and faded away. I tried to find them but it turns out that Lance was using someone else's identity because they felt like no one cared about this no named tranny and disappeared when caught out, Lance and their friends who were so supportive and caring for the tranny were a bunch of personal lolcows for me, so when the fuckers left they left a part with me.

It's simply amazing what kinds of trash you can find.

Good thing Joel's immune to the cold, because I have a feeling nobody will want to warm his bed.

He practiced this by enduring their cold-hearted rejections, and then moved on to the daunting challenge of the "cold shoulder."

That said reading his bio leaves me surprised that his super powers aren't his incredibly persuasive politeness, mastery of the hockey stick, and ability to understand grade-school French. Of course, he makes his headquarters at the Unmeltable Igloo of MGTOW.

wow This takes me back-
-and makes me ashamed to be in a turn based writing circle at any point in my life.
I never really sought out RP communities, but there would always be the sort of half-demon-half-wolf-half-neko-vampire-godbear *action-users trying to join in on a friend's Dick Tracy or Sky Captain(for example) spin off writing group where the writing was at least 12th-grade level.

And the more I see/remember, these rpers are the stuff of BadRPer Polarbear lore.

The "OpenRP" community of Twitter stands out for me as being particularly bad. Not that it's any less rancid than other RP places, but it's made even shittier by the character limit that Twitter has.

Also, I've noticed pretty much the entire community of Twitter's OpenRP are people looking for roleplay sex. Pretty much every scenario is set up for a romantic dalliance. Sometimes it's not obvious, like people will pose as being a girl/guy all alone at school or the beach until you show up, shit like that. Other times it's more overt, something like " You walk in on me masturbating with my big tits hanging out".

Oh yeah, and if you go look up this wonderful community, be prepared to see a LOT of anime pictures. Also, I've noticed that a lot of the users wanting sex (practically all of them) are either male "characters" or female who are lesbians or are only interested in "futa" - which I have discovered is pretty much the Japanese term for hermaphrodite. Woman with a dick.

Now, what that says to me is that ALL of the sex-craved roleplayers at OpenRP are male. Hardly any of these roleplayers seem to be interested in male characters, and the closest thing they go for is something that's basically all woman except for that one important tidbit.

Of course, you also have your occasional "OpenRP" poster that post something "ironically" or outright exaggerates a "serious roleplay" for giggles, but most of them are just using tired old memes. And even for the very small few that did make me chuckle, I had to ask: "What's the point? Who do you think you're going to entertain with that tweet?" The only people seeing it are people that won't appreciate or go along with the joke
