You have to remember how these people think and view Trump. Trump isn't some businessman who saw an opportunity to catapult himself to the white house by appealing to the desires of the voters. Trump is the mastermind behind everything to them. MAGA/America First isn't the will of right-wingers, it's all trump. Proud boys, school protests over LGBTQAP+, anti-immigration sentiments; all of it is trump. Anything the left views as an issue can be laid at the feet of trump no matter how twisted the logic is. Trump goes away, that all goes away and its business as usual. Or so they hope.

The left views trump as the dying gasp of a dying population. They don't think everything is fixed if they get rid of Trump, but they do know they can't allow another Trump if their relentless campaign against Heritage America is to succeed at its cultural and racial revolution.

For anyone who is curious I recently found out AOL comment section on their newest articles is an amazing place to shit post and get some golden reactions, it’s a very hyper super liberal website where it’s nothing but boomers screaming about trump while defending drag queens in elementary schools the culture their is quite astounding to be honest and there is a cast of like 15 people who do most if not all the posting on there.

They also aren't able to recognize that Trump, even if ineffectual, would be a massive release valve on the desires of the people to effect change. Everything they do to stymie him just increases the odds that the next populist will be more extreme and more effective.

Its because they don't view him as a relief valve. You have to understand the mindset of the Left (hard as that may be due to its alien nature) to figure how and why they truly hate him. The Left believes everything comes from the top. Politics, culture, etc. Its an entirely elite-driven, technocratic mindset. As a result, the idea of populism is utterly foreign to them. "The people... choosing something or someone of their own volition? IMPOSSIBLE!" As a result, they wholeheartedly believe Donald Trump is the cause of MAGA, America First, etc., instead of him and that being mere symptoms of the underlying socio-political ills that haven't been addressed by the elites. As far as they're concerned he's shamelessly exploiting us for his own selfish, power-hungry interests instead of us getting behind him and pushing just because he had the balls to go up there on stage and point out that the Emperor's clothes look pretty thin and hard to see these days.
And sadly, there really is no counting how many people of all strata who wholeheartedly buy into that elite-centric mindset that not just denies them agency but in fact declares they never had agency to begin with, and that we are all just cogs in a great societal machine.
