The grammar is annoying; the structure is bad, but that ENTIRE DISCUSSION HAD ALL OF THREE SENTENCES, as if someone who is twenty one years old can't even flesh out a single page of ideas.

There is no such thing as a free lunch, no such thing as any truly free option; and into the admittedly difficult discussion about free college someone wrote the word "Poor" as if it were an answer of itself. It's no great wonder that someone that fails to elaborate or create any kind of convincing argument is basically unable to get along with Dr. Dad; the real question is what happens when life itself deals Leah Albee her due?

I would say there's a good argument to be made for merit based free college, you pass you keep going, your gpa drops below 2.0 you gtfo. If this was funded by the state this would stop a shit ton of problems I mentioned above. It also would kill the next debt bubble that's going to sink the country which is every asshole who's heard they have to get to college taking 100k loans and then being unable to do shit about them.

I know we are getting off topic with this, but the point is that there's really no such thing as "free" anything, people pay for government services and expect not to be wasting their money. Education is actually a great example of getting much more than is spent--we are talking about perhaps a swing of a million dollars or more between gainful employment and non-labor force participation--but I'm convinced that however the details of it were sliced that Leah Albee in no way qualifies as a useful investment.

I think there is a good case to be made for merit. I think a similar case needs to made for workplace demand--our society needs skilled tradesman, specialist doctors, programmers, etc. Nowhere in this reasoning is there a case for a uninspired wastrel who is taking Women's Studies and has jack idea how to turn it into a job.

All I can say to that is, I'm glad I never went to an American university. Though then again, British universities are going down that road. Back in 2013 my alma mater (powerlevelling ahoy) and their union had a collective spergeout about the song "Blurred Lines." Apparently it came on the jukebox in the union bar and someone was triggered by it. They then went on the warpath to have it, and the Sun newspaper (because of Page 3) banned from campus.

I've also seen calls from no-account student politicians in courses of questionable value to have a course which is less white and male over here too. Notably, they are never doing anything useful or worthy. No science degrees or mathematics degrees or even law or accounting. They're always doing strange things with "Studies" in their name.

Then of course they'll find out that their degree is no use to man nor beast unless you want to teach the next generation of fat useless efforts about intersectional feminism, at which point they realise they've been had and go on a downward spiral of blood and stupidity.

I also (powerlevelling ahoy) did a year abroad at a French university. To the French's credit, they don't stand for that sort of thing over there. If you threw a wobbly in front of M. le Professeur as to why Bigot-Préameneau, Tronchet, Maleville, and Portalis were all on the syllabus but there were no black trans lesbian dwarves and what about the lived experiences of non-binary people, he'd probably shrug his shoulders very slowly, say, "c'est comme ca." He'd then give you 5/20 on your exam when you sperged about same because it's OFF TOPIC. Then again, French higher education (and society as a whole) suffers massively from credentialism, but that's neither here nor there.

Last year over 50 students sued a small 1000 student private college to have their grades changed. There was a day a friend of mine sent me a photo of an actual line of lawyers outside the admin building.

Who should be suing are the people who actually earned their grades and have their diplomas devalued by worthless little shitstains like this.

Of course, they're too busy actually doing their schoolwork to bitch and complain and file lolsuits.

Dr. Dad is at fault just for the reason that he wanted to give his child a much better childhood and life than he had.
I really truly respect this and I know how this feels as this happens to me and many others, our parents gave us a life better than their.

So how is it that Leah Albee turned out to be such an ass. Well she's stupid as fuck and has a complex that all she does is right. This is so common in children but normally children grow out of this phase when the have to do something independently from their parents like find a fucking job because normal parents at some point stop supporting their child with everything.
Dr dad probably realized that Leah is unable survive and wanted to correct this mistake he did in her childhood by giving her more time to grow up.
But once again she fucked it up and dr. Dad saw no other way than to throw her in the deep end. Hope Dr. Dad is OK because that must have hurt, she seems to be his only daughter

I'm more curious to see if she somehow ends up back with Dr. Dad or what ever else she might try... because I would bet five bucks that she'll be unable to find a job without any help.

The real problem here is that she simply doesn't know how to dress her body. High-waisted pants are absolute murder on any frame with a lot of abdominal bulk, the thin belt emphasizes the amount of territory on either side and makes it look vaster, the tapering legs fail to balance her frame, and the round glasses and shapeless bulk swathing the upper torso assists in giving the impression of a potato on a stick. IMO, she needs to go tightly tailored on the torso and stomach, and maybe a nice sleek skirt below.

My guess is her lightweight leftie beliefs made her friends with the more hardcore crowd. Having no friends before, she has felt that the only way to retain the newfound popularity is to go balls deep in this shit.

This was my theory as well. American universities are cesspits of neoleft nonsense. You can still avoid it fairly easily as long as it's not a liberal arts school or if you avoid any of the grievance studies classes. I feel that's what happened to Leah. Any kind of sociology/anthropology major is basically built around providing an echo chamber for the initiated and a brainwashing course for the open-minded.
