RWBY - The Hindenburg on which Rooster Teeth rests its hopes, dreams and future

Is anyone at all capable in writing lesbos in an organic matter? Anyone?
Goodness Miles, where has all that talent been this whole time? (Actually, I'll give him a pass because Jaune was supposed to have a nerdy-awkward voice in the Beacon arc)
I think something that annoyed me about that scene was Blek hiding behind Yang. Shy Blake is popular for like cutesy-fanfic type stuff, but this is the girl who had to kill her abusive boyfriend. Ruby is someone she respects and cares for. Yang is also Ruby's sister, so both of them would respect her opinions.
I've noticed the reason why a lot of main characters don't romance each other is because its very difficult to write around it or make the romance interesting. If they love each other too much its too sappy, if there's too much conflict it becomes uncomfortable, and killing one of them off feels like a waste so it's really hard to thread the needle apparently.

I, for one, am happy for the Ruby's evolution from Becky to Stacy.
The moment in all its glory.

And there’s this.
Stacy Ruby & Schizo Jaune will be the good highlights of this season. Before someone says Bumblebee kiss, I said the GOOD Highlights.
It kinda feels like somebody read all the numerous edgy jaune fanfics and took notes. And I say that as a compliment, there's actually a lot of good jaune centered fics surprisingly.

I'm fond of "the games we play" and "white sheep" was pretty good
Which is really funny cause it shows that fans are doing a better for their piece of media than the people who made it, to the point that the OG creators have to be "inspired" by it. I hope the best Jaune fic of all time gets some love too, he even got the Nordic Chad look for it too, after being a zoomer for so long.

This is the same Yang that showed genuine disappointment when her sister was safe in a snowstorm, instead of Blake (I think this was V7 or early V8 ).

This is the same Blake that has been the worst character in RWBY since the last few seasons. Mainly due to how bland she is. Hell, she's literally named Bland by many for this reason.

Most of RWBY (except Weiss) are filled with unironic retards & borderline sociopaths.

I wonder if Jaune really is gonna be out after this season. He’s severely traumatized and insane after decades of being isolated in a clown reality. Wonder what the plan is.
I have no idea what’s planned. All I can hope is that the volume finishes in a way like the end of any of the Beacon volumes where if everything just stopped in terms of RWBY, I wouldn’t feel bad because there’s no real pressing need to know what happens next. There’s a relative blank slate for the future, and there’s no cliffhangers.

That and maybe this Ever After place could possibly create a scenario where you could easily press the reset button for anyone who wants to do a reboot. But I doubt it.

A man can only dream….

It's also typically thematically inappropriate.

Like in this case - the world is ending; we're losing cities, technology, and tons of people are dying. Hope is lost and we've spent years going from desperate maneuver to desperate maneuver. Our own team is scarred mentally and physically. It's becoming apparent that we're merely playthings of the gods and frequently have participate in horrible things during the course of the war even as children. Also we're keenly aware that romantic entanglement devastated Ruby and Yang's parents' team to a point where Summer died and the remaining members all hate one another.

But let's take some time and sort out some romantic feelings because some of fans that still watch the show would be really keen on it for a few weeks and then go back to being bored.

Realistically I can kinda understand it happening in a warzone. Shit like that happened in WW2 Russia when soldier women and men were grasping for happiness. But yeah lesbo yang and blake just... It doesn't make sense in a world like rwby and it especially doesn't make sense given how they've been raised and acted up until then.

I almost hate to say it but john would have been a better fit. he's close enough to be reached when needed and far away enough on another team not to impact combat performance too much. Good from a tactical and writing standpoint.

Wow, a good RWBY episode for once where Ruby isn't a potted plant? I'm pleasantly surprised.
It was almost perfect except I wanted her to also tell Jaune off when he ranted at her, or just tell him she flat out didn't care.

Jaune though wasn't wrong either, and he has a big excuse for being so angry too. I just wanted to see a more strong-willed Ruby.

If it was just a warzone, sure, why not.

But they're literally fighting for the survival of humanity, it's not like they can lose and just fuck off somewhere else.

Juane's arc is much more fitting - a semi normal love story but then his beloved gets fucking vaporized in the combat and he's left haunted forever by it. Then also team STRQ being broken up by it - with the divides being so massive that they cannot deal with it as a group and move past it even with the stakes being as high as they are.

So Kdin is basically morphing into every other FtM ever. Somehow looking less female than before, AND throwing a bitchfit at innocent people because "muh deaththreats".
Make sure to remember Romans 3:10 when it comes to trannies, "There is none that is righteousness, no not one."

Ruby CHUD arc begins now and I am onboard. View attachment 4959561
I'm willing to bet that this angry phase won't last, so let's enjoy this while we can.

Just reboot the show, give it to the Japanese and make that her defining character trait. I can't remember seeing an anime show with an openly homophobic main character before. Lol
I mean, we already have Ice Queendom. We have yet to see Salem or Cinder in that thing so there's a chance SHAFT takes over unless RIQ was some one-off.

I love the memes, but its so predictable how actual RWBY fans think that Ruby being understandably done with literally every one of these fuck ups (especially her sister who hasn't given a shit about Ruby since season 3) and is simply venting that no one has time to give a solitary fuck about Yang and Blake's stupid relationship when there is so much more at stake is somehow "homophobic".

Its made all the more frustrating that Ruby's rant wouldn't play out any differently if they were a straight couple, but these morons are simply incapable of any degree of thought beyond "she yelled at the lesbians, therefore she is a homophobe".

I think the vast majority of people know it’s just a joke. I haven’t seen anyone actually mad about it.
