This might be a hot take but I wouldn't have censored M's name (apparently he forgot to censor the handle twice). I understand doing it for optics but personally when you sexually abuse a child, I no longer care what happens to you. (Chris at the time was underage after all)

I hope that man fucking rots and that one day he ends up in jail. Literal demon shit.

Also I understand that while clearly being the victim, Chris' actions were very much extremely wrong and terminating was the best for both her and Cover. She was not mature enough to be in HoloLive.
Japanese idol culture really is the worst, siding with a pedo.

Anyway, overall I hope Hitomi is okay, got the help she needs, and has healed from this situation.

Do we know how old she was? He mentioned underaged drinking but legal drinking age in Japan is 20.
That and Japan has different expectations when it comes to the age of consent. (Recently they are considering increasing it but only to 16).

The dude was 100% sleaze don't get me wrong and a culture that normalizes compensated dating for young girls is one of the grossest parts of Japanese culture.
But by Japanese standards I don't think they would consider him a pedo.

She was 18-19 I believe (may be mixing her up with another girl at the time) Japan's national age of consent was risen to 18 quite awhile ago (long before vtubers) but regionally there's still some places that have it at 13-16, it's just enforceable on the government level if they're under 18 and charges are decided to be pressed.

That passed months ago and also the provinces set their own age of consent, none of which were actually raised by this move. Basically they made a national law when all of the provinces were already stricter.

People found out about it and the common opinion of him in the normie sphere was that he was selling doxxshit and he started getting blacklisted all over the front facing vtuber community, he did a stream crying about it and "left" (he never left he just kept putting out videos always saying "this will be the last one" and now he's "returned".)

Actually as far as I can tell the agreed open narrative is she was in high school just like Haachama was when she started. This is backed up by the school talk on her Twitter.

It wasn't at Cover's studio, she found out, much to her annoyance, the official studio was booked out on her birthday so she paid out of pocket to some other mocap studio in order to have this event at all.
