Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Well, I'm assuming the other mermaids and Krakens also look fine and it's just the humans that are ugly.

Still, this movie does not leave a lot of hope, considering my earlier post with info about it where someone on Tumblr found out that Ruby's younger brother will be voiced by a 13 yo ftm...
But the actual potential homo shit might actually be somewhat tolerable comapred to Disney and Pixars bs.
Fair enough. I confess that I'm pretty biased against homo shits, period (mostly with the thinly veiled fetishistic obsession that internet has with it). Twitter is definitely going to be extra annoying about it but that say nothing about the actual execution, that might actually be good 🌈.

Also, the rating puzzles me since even a little bit of fantasy violence in a mainstream animated production these days would result in a PG rating.
It's probably because it's definitely meant to be for little girls, but guess that also means no lesbianism (unless the MPA has finally drunk the Kool-Aid for a gay all-ages movie). Still looks too ugly, imagine looking at such fugly designs for two-and-a-half hours, good Lord.

So, apparently it seems that "teenage kraken" will be the longest dreamworks movie with a runtime of 2h23.
So there's been speculations that the very spoilery trailer is only showing us the first half of the movie, and the second half will be dedicated to turn our expectations around probably by making ruby and Chelsea "enemies to lovers".

If that's the case, I can already see the comparisons that will be made with pixar's "elementals". Both being about interracial love stories and the tribulations that come with it only that dreamworks made it "fresh" by making it gay.
Also, while Disney make their shitty black live-action mermaid, dreamworks turned Ariel gay. This can't get better than that...
Also, you know how Twitter is. They love their "popular girl x nerd girl" dynamic. They will eat it up and the two of them will become the new lumity.
In conclusions, we might get a movie that's only popular because lesbian. Or just a very long shitty movie. Whichever you think is worst.
Oh, and it's also the first G rated movie from the MPAA from DreamWorks since 2005's Wallace & Gromit movie. Except unlike the latter, it will not even be entertaining nor worth it for that matter.

Didn't the tweet say it's the trailer that's rated G?

I literally just said that the movie was G-rated, you illiterate retard. Please reread my post before you quote mine.

EDIT: Ninja'd, because I'm full retard lol

If you want some enjoyable non-French or non-US animation then try Unicorn Wars. It’s a little pretentious and half baked, but it’s enjoyable if you want Happy Tree Friends that isn’t just shock gore.

The poster has a third kraken character but the trailer never showed them despite the seemingly late spoiler reviewers so there might be more after she fights the mermaid.

If i had to make guesses, its more likely that they will pull another "the badguys are actually victims and we were both manipulated by a bigger bad all along" that every movie does nowadays, meaning the real villain would be the main character kraken grandma who lied to the MC about mermaids being evil in order to mantain the race wars and steal their powers or whatever.

Either that or the very kid friendly lesson where both the mc and rival realize they dont even know why they started fighting and decide to stop and end the revenge cycle or whatever then boom, happy ending, everybody wins and grandma either becomes final villain they unite against or shuts up concede defeat.

To hell with judging books by their covers' that art style doesn't justify a nearly hour-and-a-half runtime. The story better blow people away because the visuals aren't really selling me. Also are normies actually hyped by this, I remember a few pages back, someone this.

Translation: "A summary of what DreamWorks did last week....."
I wouldn't be surprised, it seems a lot of normies are starting to shit on Disney after the new Puss in Boots movie and I can see Dreamworks trying to capitalize on the hype.

Right and I said you were wrong. Apparently I was too polite about that, because it isn't rated yet, dumbshit.

Here's the search result for a movie with a rating already:

And this is what you get when you search for one that isn't:

Episode 2 of royal crackers had one of Gilbert gottfried last appearances and has a fitting ending and end credits for that episode
You're telling me Gilbert Gottfried's swan song wasn't being God in "Smiling Friends", but something else probably less impressive in something called "Royal Crackers"..........whatever it was that's a fucking shame.

One of his final appearances was a Family Guy episode that aired a few weeks ago
