I'm sure it was a treat for Ed to get to see a pretty faithful adaptation of his setting on the big screen, even if he wasn't credited for it. Despite all the fuckery that Hasbro/WotC continue to pull, I set that aside and still enjoyed it myself. The screenwriter who said he enjoyed emasculating male characters should probably be shot out of a cannon for giving such awful PR, but there surprisingly wasn't much of it, so I don't even know why he was allowed to say that in the first place. Shame it probably won't do well enough for a sequel, I'd be happy to see another.

New Yorkers don't care if something they don't like exists as long as they don't see it, Californians especially can't tolerate that something they don't like exists.

Half of California burning down MUST be because of global warming, not because the US forest service managed the forests to prioritize timber harvest, then the hippies banned logging preventing combustable material leaving the forests, and then elites building retreats the forests preventing controlled burns during the rainy months because of muh cabin and muh woods and muh planned hikes. Never mind that the parts of Idaho and Montana where they do controlled burns aren't seeing higher rates of forest fires for some mysterious reason.

Fill the campaign settings with BIPOC people even if it makes no sense! Make the elves genderfluid to appease homos and troons! Yet when you tell the Coasties at WotC that, no, women and minorities aren't buying this shit and that their audience is mostly white men they plug their ears and deny reality.

I imagine they're playing to the good white male too. They want Dungeons and Dragons players who will applaud these brave decisions, bow their heads and subscribe to D&D Beyond because that is a company worth getting behind. I'd be willing to bet they have some marketing report that shows demographic data about how many white guys identify as liberal who also play D&D and just assumed that they were in the clear.

It's possible to play an RPG with a heavy emphasis on the role-playing aspect instead of combat and other stuff. The last few campaigns I ran before moving on from RPGs were like this, with most of them involving diplomacy and political intrigue rather than combat. It's probably no coincidence we had more women players.

That's literally what Blue Rose was: an RPG with a feminist bent that focused more on roleplay and less on being a murderhobo.

I am pretty sure that you all heard about the shareholder meeting that Bob Iger had with the shareholders of Disney where 80% of the shareholders were all royally pissed at Iger and Disney and telling them to stop grooming children and putting woke shit in their products only for Iger to double down and equate the trans movement to the Civil Rights Movement of the 60's. These companies will do whatever Larry Fink wants them to do even if the companies lose profits. I am starting to believe that Fink has a ton of blackmail material on the high ranking members of these companies. Its been down for over a month at this point, I believe. I checked the Reddit, and the prognosis isn't particularly helpful:

According to the Admins on the Discord channel the actual owner of the site can't be reached. So they are going to wait a couple of months and if said owner hasn't announced anything by then, the admins are going to start rebuilding it themselves from a backup.

As far as I know, there is no currently working backup or alternate.
