From what we've seen of the world according to Wu, a Gamergater wearing a Call of Duty shirt will be in the seats behind Wu, yelling out misogynistic slurs until he gets kicked out. It's okay though, he just proved that the movie is really amazing and special because it offends channer MRA Gamergate dudebro neckbeards.

"...and then the whole audience stood up and applauded me as the gamergate dudebro limped away from the savage beating I gave him for grabbing my luscious 34DD breasts"

I wonder if Wu is trying to shift toward "writer" now. Making games requires skill and knowledge which Wu lacks. Writing about social justice and tech is remarkably easy. It allows Wu to claim to be an expert on tech without actually having to know anything about how the tech industry works.

In fact, the less John knows the more "credibility" he has with these morons.

She's been trying that for a while but like everything she does she's late to the table, the cool kid bloggers are already dying out and so she's not only behind the times but the "activist blogger" turned into clickbait activism which has mostly crumbled in on itself. Now its the activist vlogger and that's on its way down too.

I just saw Ghostbusters (in a mostly empty theatre FWIW) and this is obvious shilling. It's way more than 0% Melissa McCarthy (she's, you know, one of the Ghostbusters) and no way is it as good as the original. It's not terrible either, it's just an ordinary big budget Hollywood comedy. I'd recommend it if you already like the stars and wouldn't if you don't.

Speaking of Kristen Wiig movies, I highly recommend Welcome to Me to everyone on Kiwi Farms. It's about what would happen if a lolcow won the lottery.

I heard several times now that it is at best an average reboot (read: below average movie), but it's not really terrible, with Chris Hemsworth being the best part of it. But even if it was surprisingly good, that wouldn't excuse the shitty trailers, nor the way Sony screamed misogyny in order to defend it, or how they deleted bad reviews.
