I don't know Pat, fucking a thot then paying her to keep quiet seems ten times less worse than threatening to kill a woman and her unborn child, but sound off I guess.
Can someone who was an adult in the 90s tell me if people were this outraged about Clinton's scandal? It's so hilarious that everyone's acting like this is the first time a US president has been caught doing something they don't like.

To my recollection people were not that outraged.

Man in his fifties in a powerful position takes advantage of a young, *ahem*, attractive woman under his employ.

It was not exactly a world shattering situation.

Not less than a decade before that Regan and Bush senior got clean away with committing high treason, but they mainly got away because a high ranking military officer basically took responsibility then destroyed the evidence.

The main difference between Trump and these previous presidents is that basically Trump is a business man and they were political men.

Political men will have the right “friends” for avoiding flak in a political scandal, Trump doesn’t.

This isn’t pro/defensive of Trump by the way. It’s just how the world works unfortunately.

Fatrick however should be the one facing serious criminal charges.

There is the pepperoni business, the wife and child rape and murder threats, the suspected involvement with pedophile rings and the wasting of police time and resources of course, but mostly he is guilty of being so revoltingly corpulent that it should be illegal.

I was a kid, but in Christian circles there was outrage, albeit exaggerated. Some of it was performative pearl clutching, some of it was church ladies genuinely upset about the oval office being (in their view) defiled. Watching retrospectives, it seems like people were mainly mad about him lying. “Prudes impeached him over a blowjob!” is just a meme.

But there was no widespread Clinton derangement syndrome that I can remember. Not like the wailing and gnashing of teeth over a rich dude paying a porn actress to not tell his wife about their canoodling and then misfiling the receipts or whatever.

Pat is fat and Stormy Daniels would not have sex with him.

No we were not, child. No it was not, child, we had the Kennedys to reminisce about.

I was only becoming a teenager when Clinton burst onto the scene. Most people viewed him as a trailer-trash version of Kennedy, only to find out he didn’t have JFK’s moral fortitude [at least outside of the bedroom]. And Clinton’s greatest “conquest” was said to be Elizabeth Gracen who, while not unattractive, is no Marilyn.

The worst part of Bill has always been Hillary. I suspect he knows it, too. His problem is that without her he never got farther than the Arkansas Attorney General’s office. As time has illustrated, she’s a ghastly combination of personally corrupt, greedy, ambitious and amoral, and there is no lie she won’t tell and no person she won’t step on to touch the reins of power. He was a liar, but on his own his own lies would have been relatively harmless. With her having significant influence over his presidency and her place as a power broker among the democrats, her lies got funneled through him and became his.

The prosecution he underwent wasn’t so much a matter of a moral crusade against a redneck who liked to wet the willy in wells other than Hillary, but about the fact that he and Hillary had told so many lies over so many more significant matters - mostly to try and cover up their own personal greed and corruption - and the Lewinsky situation was the one area they could make it stick.

Don’t under estimate the power that the internet - a very new thing to most people at the time - played. People had more access to information quicker than they ever had, and this was the beginning of people having to address the fact that US political leaders weren’t the shining examples of goodness many - particularly conservatives - believed them to be. Many faulted Clinton personally for it when he just happened to be the guy in office at the time. Not a good President, but not nearly the worst of the post-Eisenhower group. Which, Trump aside, falls under the categories of “lousy”, “bad” and “worse”.

If you care I rate them thus:

Lousy = Reagan, Clinton
Bad = Nixon, Carter
Worse = Johnson, both Bushes, Baraka Hussein Abu Oumama, Pedo Pete
N/A = Ford

People who were politically opposed to Clinton or who hated him for other reasons were hoping it would bring him down, but most people didn't really care that much about Monica. Some people who thought Clinton was a bad guy thought it was a distraction from more serious problems they had with him.

Here in Greece he is hated because he bombed Serbia, the Monica shit was just funny. You will still hear references to the dress story in comedies.
In Serbia he is hated so much I bet Null has absorbed some of it deep in his dog soul

Weird tweets in the Star Wars thread. You'd almost think that he was drunk and feeling insecure about his marriage.

Also he's already tweeting about more upcoming Star Wars Content, I want "nerd" stuff like this to leave the mainstream so it can be fun again.

DeLoreans are overpriced, slow, stainless steel trash, but gotta give them credit for a world class suspension that held up to Patrick sitting on it. Sure, he wasn't quite as fat back then, but the weight of his faggotry would have crumpled many other vehicles.

Also, wouldn't one think that for their wedding day they'd get a suit that fits them well? I guess if that's what you look like and that's what you're marrying you just don't give a fuck.

In literally no situation is the sentence "you're not more nerd than me" is something to be proud of or a brag.

Maybe if it was said by someone actually funny and self aware, sure. But Pat is, very subtly, extremely obese and lacks any sort of charisma at all.

God, I'm glad that people aren't getting bullied anymore for having innocuous interests, but at the same time people like Pat are a reminder of why nerds were bullied in the first place.

So Nikis actually put the work in the shed some pounds and look better while porky has ballooned into a pile of mush and Miller Lite.

It's fucking dreadful. I've seen used cars salesmen in better looking suits.

It's a wild flex no matter which way you look at it, anyway. I guarantee nobody engaging him about the Star Wars thing was trying to assert any kind of ~nerd credentials~ over him.
