I recognize those braces. Those are knee unloaders. They are for people that have chronic knee osteoarthritis as a bridge before surgery. They would do nothing for someone with hEDS. You can also buy them OTC so you don't need an Rx for them.

A normal knee brace could do. If it needs to be hinged for the flair you can get one at the pharmacy ((with the normal knee braces)). Not every brace is bulky af tho. Munchies can’t do that tho. Not in your face obvious enough. Spending money on a brace not even for what you “need” it for is better

The autopsy stuff is just totally confusing but I don't know how post mortems work in Burgerland, can you just get an "independent" one?? Also nobody puts down "natural causes" on a death certificate, you have to write something like:

• septic shock, due to
• perforated bowel, due to
• bowel obstruction, due to
• colon cancer

This is so you have a clear path of what caused the death so there is no question. Similarly you can't write "cardiac arrest" for a cause of death because literally everyone dies when their heart stops beating.

You can get an independent autopsy (for about $2000 estimated for a full post mortem could be higher or lower in some areas), however some hospitals get families to sign something so they do the autopsy "for free" but it's mostly to cover their ass in the event of a family of nutters might sue for medical malpractice (in a munchie case, high likelyhood) so families have some "closure" from a pathologist who will be more through than an internist or surgeon.

some physicians get lazy and just write down the easy shit or a one liner... no one is through anymore with "septic shock due to etc." Physicians put in dumb shit like "cardiac arrest, cessation of breath, old age" and other dumb shit like "not sure, possibly a brain hemorrhage"....yes a physician put that as a cause of death.

Most states also have 4 box check for "natural, suicide, homicide, or unknown" and it is usually required one be checked.

The medical system is based off of believing patients. If we looked at every patient as a liar, we wouldn't get much done.
