The antipsychotic deal is one anecdotal report from an Australian doctor who documented that antipsychotics totally made the patients “gender dysphoria”/coom urges disappear.
Not exactly a solid study, but def. something that should be investigated.
As for ketamine, I wouldn’t be surprised if ketamine/ibogaine (or a similar drug) combined with therapy could relieve their bodily dysphoria. More research should be done.

I had SRS 9 months ago I lost all my depth and I am unable to orgasm... while I enjoy having a vagina and feel more comfortable I do sometimes miss the functionality of a penis and the ability to orgasm I guess you can't have it all... Especially when complications from the surgery arise. I'm just saying that it's okay to feel like this sometimes and that we don't all have the same happy sunshine sparkles pathway after gender reassignment surgery, some of us end up feeling a bit lost and disappointed.

I feel you. I had my SRS 5 months ago and my depth is ridiculous... barely reaching 7,5 cm when I try really hard. I haven't had orgasm yet although thanks to vibrators, my sensitivity is improving and it becomes enjoyable but still not an orgasm. I often feel like I will never get any better than that. And the fact that the aesthetical result is unacceptable, makes it evem harder.
Nevertheless, I don't regret it. Even though it doesn't work well and doesn't look good, it calms my dysphoria quite a lot.

I'm going to be honest with you. I was afraid that one of these would bamboozle me and I'd have to give up my "Official Tranny Clocker" badge. For the true dysphoria trans, medication may be the answer but for the rest is a social issue with all this affirmation bullshit and letting them do whatever the fuck they want. Serious answer is that you'd probably have better luck with a different, newer antipsychotic medication. Pimozide (Orap) is older and has a higher risk of serious and possibly irreversible side effects, including tardive dyskinesia. It can be used in lower doses for Tourette syndrome that hasn't responded to other drugs. Pimozide is one of the "big guns" and I cannot imagine the average physician being willing to prescribe it as a first-line agent to a child with no previous history of psychosis. It's actually more potent than haloperidol on a per-weight basis, if that gives you an idea.
It's pretty interesting that the study authors chose pimozide over any of the newer atypicals. I haven't read the study but I'm curious if they had a reason. I wonder if they selected it because it's effective for "body focused" behaviors and delusions, including delusional parasitosis, though I am personally not sure if it's any more effective than other, safer antipsychotics for that.
