Absolutely. But the problem is that appeals take years. On top of that, even if he does get it overturned on appeal, it will still take years for Perry to rebuild his life. He'll have to slog through the process of restoring his military gibs, as well as his voting and 2A rights.
Abbott should use his pardon powers, anyway. It's his prerogative as governor. If shitlibs can have show trials, then conservatives should nullify them with the lawful authority they have.
That isn't some Machiavellian departure from "the norms". If you have power, then use it or lose it.

They want revenge for crimes committed by people that have been dead for a generation or more. So they are going after their children or people that might look like how they think their children would look.

It's because they hate White people, not white people.
They hate western civilization as a whole. Everything about the american project of nation states with freedom and pursuit of proprety and happiness is anathema to then. Freedom means people end up different, the outcomes are guaranteed to not be the same and you will need to pull yourself by your own weight. It means government power is limited and nobility cannot guarantee their own existance.
So they want it gone. Destroy it. Not whites as a race, but White as a idea.

It's not that they don't want the race gone, but that the idea is what they attack far more. They want both gone, and won't stop until it is all gone. You can see it when they talk about "white supremacist chinese" and "latino white supremacy" and shit like how it is "infecting black spaces". A true elimination of it.

We overthrew their democratically elected president in the 1970s and replaced him with a US puppet. While the puppet was willing to play ball with the US, he was brutal and cruel to the people of Iran.
