I've said this a lot but just to make sure — I dated a stripper for nine months and my longest escorting client was a gay strip club manager. This all took place over two years, about late 2015 to mid 2018. I have an odd insight into this culture, for better or worse.

Strip clubs get shot up because guys are horny, blueballed and mad. There are four main reasons guys go to strip clubs, IMO:

1. To feel pursued
2. To touch a woman
3. To get laid
4. To LARP rap videos / feel like a baller

Of these, I think #2 makes a lot of sense. One of the first thing guys want to do after getting back from a military mission is go to a strip club. You don't want to have sex, you just want the physical sensation of touching up on a woman to re-calibrate you.

#1 is the reason I went. I *DEFINITELY* got pursued at gay clubs but strip clubs were the only time very attractive women pursued me with the aggressiveness men do. Even if you know they're just trying to make money, it can clear your mind and bring you back to reality.

#3 is ... possible. I've eaten out about 3-4 women at strip clubs who did this because they were attracted to me. (Not the current pudgy-strong version of me lmao, I used to be a lot prettier.) Again, just from a libertarian perspective Mises, Hayek, Friedman, etc. (Rothbard would also be interested because he was probably a degenerate) would all be totally interested in what the internet has done to the supply and cost of porn at the same time that the porn industry has continued to flourish and grow. (It's a potential refutation of mainstream/Keynesian economic principles about capital that's anticipated in Austrian economics.)
