Resident Evil - Virgin Vampire Wine Mom vs Chad Magnetic Lebowski

Punisher or Blacktail pistol for a Professional run? The Blacktail served me well in Standard, but this is a different ball game entirely, Jesus.
Sentinel Nine. It's the Standard pistol but has a bigger edge. You won't ever need to upgrade capacity and it's fire rate gets good quickly if you dump resources into upgrading early on.

Didn't get a chance to try Mercs yet since I'm at the end of my S+ run. I just used my last save right before the last Krauser fight. So I gotta go to the end from that point with no saves, and I think it's doable. Once you get out of the 5-4 section, you can coast more or less. I have about 45 minutes left of time to complete and that's plenty. I was worried I wouldn't have enough treasure money for the strat that Bawk uses. He bought an RPG for both Krauser and Saddler and I have just shy of enough to buy two RPGs with just treasure and Primal knife money so I won't even need to resell weapons right before Saddler. I'll get back the Primal by rebuying it my next run. It's a free 25k.

I can confirm that the door skip works on PS4.

Not my video.

I kept turning right trying to do it, but you gotta go left since the camera is already pointed that way due to how the camera holds on Leon's back. The object is to turn around as quick as possible. I was going to use my last save right there before, but I figured I had about five minutes of gametime to see if I can do it, and I swear I got it on the third or fourth try. It's not hard at all and it's probably the easier door to do it on since there's so many clips of that one in particular. This skips so much toxic area bullshit. I've gone through the third act of Castle and entirety of Island up to this point with next to fucking nothing. I had only one golden egg for Salazar since I stupidly sold it so I only had the one from the throne room. After I hit him with it I had only one magnum round and I had to beat him legit after. Since I did that skip, the elevator area had a shitload of resources since there's like six boxes.

I'll probably get S+ tonight or tomorrow. Then I'm going to do an unlimited hand cannon pro run and get some achievements like all treasures in one playthrough etc. You get the cat ears accessory that gives unlimited ammo for S+.

Do critical head shots kill the Plaga, or just the host?
Some headbursters are RNG and some are scripted to appear in areas. I've had specific encounters from reloads produce headbursters, and then not.
How does it grade you, just time?
You need to be sub 5:30 with no bonus weapons and 15 saves. It's loaded with RNG. But, a lot of it is based on execution. Incredibly frustrating most of the time. Like there's no downtime and not being frazzled.

Killing key enemies in an area and just trying to run through it all. The current records are like two, two and a half hours and I was using old strats for it. Clearly the hardest game of the series to S rank. I had used my last save right before Krauser's main fight and I had to take that to the end of the game. Krauser is piss easy once you get skilled at knife fighting. My advice is to be super aggressive and just run in and stab him as much as you can the first round. Although if you're accurate, you can skip that first part with three well placed magnum shots, but him resorting to coming at you isn't hard. The second round you want to alternate between that, and blasting him with the magnum. I used the RPG in the third round.

I wouldn't bother with the TMP in the run. Just use Sentinel Nine, Riot Gun, Stingray and the Broken Butterfly. Use skips when you can to save yourself some headache. Del Lago was a pain in the fucking balls. I had beat him clean, with no hits. And then I died and clicked continue instead of going back to the title screen. It stupidly keeps your playtime from when you die if you just reload from the death screen. I had to fight him again and I think he killed me ten to twelve times until I understood his scripted pattern. You'll eventually be throwing harpoons before he jumps out of the water just from the areas he's pulling you to.

El Gigante was tricky, but one of the lesser bosses that wasn't a pain.

Bella Sisters were a bit tricky. Only because of the amount of enemies in that section. What was harder was the section right before that with the Brute, beartraps and the two throwing molotovs. Ashley's AI made me want to break my controller so many times. I had maybe twenty to thirty restarts right there. I saved right before it and I had to go all the way to Castle on that, so I had to do that, Bella Sisters and then Mendez on one save.

Mendez wasn't bad at all. His second form is piss easy from the second floor. Although I took some continues since I didn't shoot the barrels fast enough.

Salazar was a nightmare. First of all the elevator climb was a pain in the fucking balls since I had like nothing to fight back with. Salazar, I had one golden egg and stupidly sold the other one to get spinels. So I used one, and then I had to fight him legit with no heals and one magnum round. So I had to grab the barrels and boxes supplies there and I pretty much only used the handgun.

I used the wall clipping thing with the rifle scope at the elevator door with Verdugo so he couldn't hurt me and waited out the time. I used an RPG to blow up the dynamite wall. The core thing that saved my run was the wrecking ball gate glitch that saves like 15-20 minutes and that bypasses all that sewer bullshit with Ashley.

I used the trick to get past the minigun laser before the sanctuary so an enemy hits me through it and takes all the shots. I did it in one go somehow.

I spent the third act of Castle and almost the entirety of Island with next to no supplies, I mean literally less than 20 handgun rounds and maybe 3 shotgun shells. The Mike section was the hardest thing about the ending since the RNG elements, specifically the second part with the switches. MAKE FLASH GRENADES LIKE CRAZY. Do everything you can to have four to six of them at that part since you'll hit the second switch and possibly, the turret guy will be shooting at you as you're trying to jump the railing and knocking you back in.

I mentioned Krauser above, and Saddler I used an RPG on. Shoot him immediately with it, and when he jumps down his cutscene will trigger and then it jumps to the tentacle thing he turns into. Some advice I found out. He does have HP there, but don't shoot until Leon stops talking. He doesn't take damage during that for some reason. I had sold some weapons to fight him and I only had the Killer 7 and the Stingray.

Right now I'm doing another run on pro and cleaning up some challenges and buying all the models. I haven't tried Mercs yet but I will later tonight.

But yeah it's doable, but use current strats and not the very first ones that have gone up since almost all of it is obsolete now. The first runs were like 4:30 on average and Bawkbasoup went from that to like 2:30 in a week.

Finally managed to get S+ on pro yesterday. The difficulty of the scope glitch for the doors seem to vary from door to door, the ones before the garrador fight and the novistadors ballroom were impossible for me to do no matter how hard I tried. However, I managed to do the one on the island before the wrecking ball in my second or third try, that was such a relief to save myself all that bullshit with two saves left.

In general, it was more about struggling agaisnt the controls than the game being all that hard by itself, I've seen videos of Leon jumping off a roof landing on top of a ganado and "glitching out" for lack of a better word, doing the animation when you get hit by the shovel and roll on the ground and then the guy got chain grabbed to death when the surrounding enemies snapped to him. That was really the hardest part of the run, how much you have to fight the terrible movement instead of the enemies themselves.

That being said, I'm glad I'm done with this S+ horseshit. One of the things the west could do to stem the tide of troonism is to having the japs remove all achievements and such related to finishing the game on x amount of hours. Maybe make it so you get S+ by being stylish, how many enemies you can kill with one grenade, how many melee kills you do, you get the picture.

No wonder these degens get on HRT and go completely insane trying to cope with this digital torture, I was almost having an existential crisis at the end and this was for just one game in one week, with a final time of almost 4 hours, double the time of the current world record. I can't imagine having 5k hours in a game and 90% of those practicing this one glitch where you get it every 20k tries and not wanting to blow your brains out. Its scary to think sooner or later I'm gonna have to do the same for re2r for the hardcore run.

I understand there are breaks between the chapters; and while I understand there may be reasons not to, but I take it you can save between chapters and those saves count towards the 15?

I don't remember the channel name (found it, Optinoob); but there's a YouTube channel where a dude does a "easy way to get S+ on x-difficulty" run for Claire/Leon A/B. No super L33T tricks, no sped-running shenanigans, just "do this, try to keep this ammo, save at this point" playthrough. It's not Carcinogen, or other big names (at least I don't think so, he might be now). But totally 100% being a Vergil to your Dante (Divine Comedy, not DMC).

All saves count. Your best bet is try to stagger them few and far between.

And everyone. Do yourself a favor and switch to green laser sights. It’s so much easier to see.

Alright, I've sunk around 80 hours in this game and done around 5 full playthoughs, including S+ Professional.

I really like the changes that were made, obviously they removed some stuff but it didn't bother me. My pet peeve was the Saddler fight, because I don't like boss fights where the difficulty is artificially ramped up by summoning a bunch of ordinary enemies, especially when they're the Novistadores. Every other fight was great, especially Chief Mendez and Krauser. Those tended to be fairly claustrophobic in the original and not in a good way. Parrying Krauser made it seem more like a duel. It reminded me of doing a CQC battle with The Boss in MGS3

The other changes that have been made were all great. You have the same game in essence but it's kept fresh by moving locations around, and I especially liked the more open aspect of the lake after defeating Del Lago. The Castle was shorter, but I didn't really notice it, and the Island was improved.

On the voice acting front, Leon was fine, and Ashley's VA was great. I don't think I will break any ground by saying that Ada's VA choice was awful. It really takes you out of the game with how bland she's acting. I don't know if this was amateur hour or bad voice directing. I almost think that she was told "play girlboss" and that's what she didn, instead of the professional but sultry infiltrator that Ada is. Really should've stuck with the VA for RE2 Remake. In the end, you spend way more time with Ashley than Ada, so the former being a better VA seems like an overall win. It's just that with the added changes to the story it makes the overall resolution more confusing. In the original, Leon seemed to regain his trust in Ada after she shows some concern him (especially the scene where he almost strangles her), only to be betrayed in the end. This time, it seems that Leon has resentment towards her, but is still shocked about her betrayal, even when she told him that she hadn't changed.

Eh, when your complaints about a Resident Evil game is in the story, you know you're nitpicking.

I beat the original. Now I get to do the La Femme Nikita missions.

Game was harder than I thought. Died three times on the jet ski lol. Dare I ask what pain players of the original had the past 20 years?

I was surprised Luis didn't do shit. Here i was thinking he's one of the major supporting characters second to Ada, only for him to serve the same role as black cop in RE2R yet with added twist of being the unseen with all that implied backstory.

Carolyn Lawrence was okay as Ashley. She'll always be Sandy from SpongeBob but it was fun hearing her do it. Does Leon's actor still do stuff?

New Leon is fine. Liked that he read tweets in that recent video.

Having seen clips from Ada's new actor, I honestly blame the director; that is not to say that she is entirely not at fault for her delivery. She actually can indeed act in other things I found. But for some reason it really does feel like they said "no nonsense serious spy agent gurl with little to no sense of humor" and she just based it off that. Hope to get her levels added as dlc. I'm happy the qipao is coming back too.

Doing a no heal, no merchant run right now on Assisted. Trying to clean up some challenges along the way. I did the no miss harpoon on Del Lago and I want to try and attempt the elevator challenge for the clocktower, but I don't know if I can do it without a shotgun and I can't buy the striker because of no merchant. Although I have the chicago typewriter, so that should be enough.

I'm glad the S+ bullshit is behind me and I can go back to enjoy the game. The handcannon sucks btw. It kicks so much and the firerate sucks even maxed out. I much prefer the one in the original, that even got it's own special ammo.

I tried Mercs. It's pretty fun. Krauser and HUNK are completely broken to the player's favor, which is fine. I hope they add Waterworld. I'd like to see other new maps as well. Like throw in the Main Hall of RPD. Or a Cabin level horde mode.
