I don't have any direct comparisons, but I think the tickets aren't really being scalped this year. Maybe demand is lower? I remember last year tickets were absolute bonkers, at $10k for ring side. It's hard to really gauge how many seats are free that they toss around to boost their ego. Closest seat is $250, nosebleed is 30$.

I expect it's just diminishing returns - weedy amateurs boxing is a fairly niche interest, if you compare it to the Paul brothers who are interested (and are likely capable) in going professional. I expect the event will still do fairly well, pending whatever nonsense the Johmas pull.

The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing they would both die, and the scorpion says "I am sorry, but I couldn't resist the urge. It's in my nature."

If she called Sam the scorpion and Ian the frog, then it would mean that Sam promised Ian something but then intentionally sabotaged it to the detriment of both of them. If anything, the roles were reversed.

For her use of the story to make sense Sam would havr had to benefit from not "stingin" idubbbz.
