This is bullshit. She needs to be 100% before finding a job? Bitch please nobody in this world is 100% healthy either mentally or physically. We all have issues. She's not special in that regard but she's still living the life of a child and not an adult.
It could be a few things, but one thing that is sticking out to me is this - Pixy is in the hypochondriac’s ouroboros.@Platypus, it's either schizoaffective or bipolar with psychotic features, I'm pretty sure of it. Untreated mental illness will always get worse.
She’s so hyper-fixated on her health that she’s making herself sick; it’s literally the only thing she thinks about. The best way to distract herself from this - even though she will refuse to believe it - is to get a job.
Sure, she has her painting and her toys, and cosplay is a fun escapism I guess, but it’s routine and lonely. These things don’t put her outside of her isolated little environment in which she constantly thinks she’s going to die, or something is hurting her, or something is making her sick.
But she won’t go out and get that job because on top of being just plain fucking miserable - you guessed it, she thinks she’s sick and dying.
“I can’t work, I’m dying!” “How can I have a job when I’m so sick?” “I‘ll get a job when I’m healthy again” “How dare people ask me to work, can’t they see how much I’m suffering?” “Why would I get a job? I know I’m going to die soon anyway”
The only way to stop herself from obsessing over her health, to get her to mellow out, to help her sleep, to her get over whatever her issue is and get the fuck on with her life - is to get on medication, which she won’t. Pixy is afraid of the doctor because…*drumroll*
She’s a hypochondriac.
It’s horrible, it’s ugly, it’s torturous.
