Wasn't she living in a dorm at the time she was in college? I would imagine she would have taken out loans anyway to cover that. If she went to a state school in like 2010, tuition would have been about $4k a semester. A big chunk of money for a young person living on their own but if she really gave a shit she could have figured something out.

I have intense executive dysfunction: i can't forcing [sic] myself to do anything boring, which means I fail at basic maintenance tasks. this is even with intense incentives; I was making 100k/month on onlyfans but it got boring so I stopped working that hard after just a few months

She has zero tolerance for doing anything proactive that isn't enjoyable. Most of her "enlightening" stuff is largely passive: she'll post a survey and let other people respond, take LSD and let it do its work, etc. I've been in academia for a long time and you don't honestly have to be that smart to complete a Ph.D. even. Just look at some of the idiots out there running around with titles and degrees. Aella would be plenty intelligent for grad school, but it's more about completing tasks according to specific instructions, meeting deadlines, etc.

Ultimately, it seems to me her "intellectual" pursuits are more about being a pick-me girl in a niche circle and getting attention for it, and her current approach works quite well for that. Actually going to school and getting a degree wouldn't move the needle much in the simp department: she's already the big fish in the weird pond.

she could have worked full time, taken evening classes at a community college, transferred credits to a state uni and got a degree by age 26. but that just isn't what real intellectuals do. ANY reason people drop out of college ALWAYS boils down to bad grades. I had a supervisor that "had an MS in CS", but really he just needed to "complete his thesis".

I was in the same program and they had a non-thesis option. It was like 2 more classes.
