Hate to spoil it for you, troondad, but that kid is definitely telling every other kid in the neighborhood about his weird dragged out dad anyway. Thank goodness he has some friends to turn to and mock you behind your back and get a few laughs out of it to soothe the trauma he just experienced. Eating ice cream with you as you explained everything was probably one of the worst moments in his life and he wanted nothing more than to run out of the Dairy Queen and never see you again in your wig and dress.

If you search his timeline for "bathroom" or "toilet", you can see that he regular gets into arguments with people about this, despite being convicted of the very thing that's at the crux of the single sex spaces argument.

Here's Dolatowski's own parents pleading with the courts to lock him back up before he attacks another child, as his sentences have been ridiculously light: -

To answer your questions, the primary reason for the ban is related to legal issues with Nintendo. While emulating itself is not illegal, it can be used to play games from consoles that are still under copyright protection without permission, which can create issues with Nintendo and its affiliates. Every single girl in that video goes to the floor at least once except the large hulking one. I guess it would be a little jarring to see that frame try to gracefully get up. They even tailor it so that another girl is forced to stand while the girl has the spotlight and does her twirls. You know damn well if he wasn't there they would all be sitting. Although watching a real woman get applause for skirt spinnies must make him seethe so much.

I don't think he's in any proper dance company, just prancing around in a local school where they'll take anyone who wants to pay. The Royal Dance Academy are just the people who set the exams. You pay your money and they'll let you test the bounce on their floorboards. He's probably doing the equivalent of one of those piano exams where you paly a couple of scales and a bit of Heart and Soul and they give you a certificate to stick on your wall. I doubt many other adults, male or female, are wasting their time and money like that, no matter how good or bad they are at dancing.

As far as troons doing ballet go, he's already been beaten to the curtain. A few years ago one Chase Johnsey danced a season with the women for English National Ballet. He was a proper trained dancer who had spent over a decade with Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo before trooning out, throwing a huff, and leaving in vaguely explained circumstances.

it came as a huge surprise last week when Johnsey announced his resignation from the company after 14 years. But even more shocking are the reasons he gave for leaving what he describes as his dream job.

In a video posted to YouTube, Johnsey says that he no longer believes the company stands for openness and gender freedom. He claims that he and other dancers have been mistreated, sexually harassed and discriminated against for appearing too feminine in classes and rehearsals, adding, “We’re being bullied for expressing our femininity and we’re being given ultimatums just because we don’t live up to some masculine idea of what a gay man is….So I’m throwing away my dream job for what I believe in.”


Further, Johnsey, who identifies as gender queer, cites an incident in 2012 when he was told that should he choose to transition, as he was considering at the time, he would no longer be allowed to perform with the company. He says, “I believe that trans people should have a place in ballet, and I think Trockaderos should be the first to have that even though they advertise us as ‘men on pointe.’ ” He later posted several follow-up videos, one of which clarified that while this was not the reason he chose to resign, the company’s stance on this issue is one with which he disagrees.


In response to a request for comment, the company issued the following statement:


“The management and board of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo were surprised and sorry to learn of the claims by Chase Johnsey. Our professional, all-male comedy ballet company has a proud history of service to the gay and transgender communities, and has been a pioneer of inclusiveness for 44 years. We welcome and foster a diverse array of dancers, employees and audience members. Therefore, we take Chase’s concerns very seriously. The board has hired an independent, outside expert to investigate the allegations. We will take whatever measures necessary to address the findings of the investigation. At this time, however, the board is not aware of any discrimination, harassment or retaliation against Chase or any other member of the Trockadero. Management denies the allegations.”

He spent just the one season in London, and it all fizzled out when no-one was shocked or horrified or fawned on his bravery and specialness.

Back in January, Chase Johnsey grabbed headlines when he resigned from Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, where his performances had garnered critical acclaim for over a decade, alleging a culture of harassment and discrimination. (An independent investigation launched by the company did not substantiate any legal claims.) Johnsey, who identifies as genderqueer, later told us that he feared his dance career was at an end—where else, as a ballet dancer, would he be allowed to perform traditionally female roles?

But the story didn’t end there. After a surprise offer from Tamara Rojo, artistic director of English National Ballet, Johnsey has found a temporary artistic home with the company, joining as a guest at the rank of first artist for its run of The Sleeping Beauty, which continues this week. After weeks of working and rehearsing with the company, last week Johnsey quietly marked a new milestone: He performed with ENB’s corps de ballet as one of the ladies in the prince’s court.

We caught up with Johnsey to find out how it happened.
How he found his way to English National Ballet

I had resigned from Trockadero. I assumed my dancing career was over, because I’m a ballerina and there’s only one Trockadero. A month went by, and I got a random email from Tamara Rojo asking if I wanted to take class. I don’t even know how she got my email! I went and took class for a week, and then we had a meeting. She said she liked the way I danced, and that she sees me as a ballerina and would love to have me in Sleeping Beauty. She wanted to help me take a small step towards being seen as a ballerina.
On being himself in the studio and onstage

One of the first things they told me was to be sincere. I had hidden behind my Trocks persona for so long; I was doing an homage to great ballerinas, and I was sort of impersonating one. When I got to ENB, they wanted me to be myself. Not more masculine or more feminine—they wanted me to be honest. It was liberating, but an artistic struggle.
Re-learning technique from a woman’s perspective

I take class with the girls en pointe every day. I didn’t realize how hard they actually work! And how much strength goes into it. They’re killing themselves every day to get stronger and stronger, and on top of that they have to make it look beautiful and easy.

A lot of the pointework I did with the Trocks wasn’t necessarily correct; I had to work on my lines and my feet, especially the small transitions. I’m so inspired and have so much to chew on, and now I have material to work on for years and years to come when I leave ENB at the end of this production.
What he’s been rehearsing and performing for The Sleeping Beauty

I worked on Carabosse, which was really fun! I performed as a Marchioness in the Hunt Scene, and I was one of the girls in the mazurka every night. I was also able to put on a tutu and pointe shoes to understudy a nymph in the dream sequence, and got a lot of good feedback from that.

I’m only contracted through Sleeping Beauty, which closes June 16, but I definitely feel at home at ENB. I don’t know when the possibility for me to come back will be, but Lord knows if they call I’m running back!
How the dancers at English National Ballet reacted

I was in an all-gay company, and I walked into this diverse company—gay, straight, men, women, from this country or that country, and everybody was so natural about it. They didn’t see me as something different, they saw me as a dancer. They believed in me and helped me, and on days when I was hard on myself they picked me up and encouraged me. Without the support of the dancers I wouldn’t have made it onstage.
His new goals involve subverting ballet’s gender binary

One goal would be to perform en pointe, in the corps, and have nobody know or comment on it. I’ve done principal roles my entire career, but being able to blend in as a swan or a shade is more impressive.

The other goal is to dance as a ballerina with a female who is doing the male role. Of course the Trocks have done guy-to-girl for years, but there hasn’t been much attention to the female side of that, or the trans side. With the visibility I now have, I want to fight for those people, too.
Why he wants to dance as a ballerina—but not transition

Wendy Whelan mentioned this in The New York Times: I’m not doing this to take away jobs from women. I was born a ballerina.

I’ve had people question why I want to dance as a ballerina, but not transition. Women have been my heroes my whole life, from my mom to my sister to my ballet teachers, to Tamara Rojo, who saved my career, and who has given me a huge platform to make a change in the world. Strong ballet women are my superheroes, and that’s what I want to portray.

He's currently self-employed in Barcelona, which I guess means shilling himself for whatever work is available, or as he puts it "ballet dancer, choreographer, and co-founder of professional classical and contemporary dance company Ballet de Barcelona". Here's an interview from last year.

He doesn't appear until about three minutes in. I think the interviewer is a woman in troon-style make-up rather than a genuine troon.
