It's true. When I was in high school I went on some field trip to a college and at the time was really interested in computer science, so had signed up for the tour of that department. The guys that gave the tour were pretty awful to me. I couldn't see fighting people like them for four or more years of my life, and then forever after that while working.

Even if they had been nice to me, it just wasn't a scene you'd want to be a part of if you had any pride, they were embarrassing looking with poor taste and hygiene.
