If you watch the Letecia Stauch trial you’ll see exactly the kind of woman who would do this. I should Late you both because this was on the thread already. But it's an interesting convo and etymology is so neat.

It also later occurred to me that even if the author failed to publish the writing personally, they may have still intended it for publication. For example if it was addressed: "Dear World, this is how you forced me murder little kids" or even "Dear America, the following is my Manifesto".

It seems like the Columbine boys assumed that their VHS tapes would be made public. But if I remember correctly, some were leaked, some were released by the feds but with redactions, some came out in discoveries during litigation, and some have never been released to this day.

But that was 1999. In 2023 it is so easy to publish anything. And if she was interested in Columbine, she should have some idea that the feds won't just automatically publish your ravings for you.

I imagine if we ever see a manifesto its either going to be heavily edited and doctored by the Feds, or we'll never see it at all.
