is the parody game any better? i'm not for these types of games, I'm just asking because I have a hunch that these devs are god-awful at their jobs
✨The mythical They/them!✨
The parody game is much better, and has a great story, so I'd say to give it a go, even if you aren't into VMs or anthropomorphic dinosaurs.

If you're predisposed to anthropomorphic dinosaur girls, then yes. If not, then it might be a bit of a tougher sell. If you don't find yourself turned away by the time you get to the rooftop, you're probably good to see it all the way through.

Interesting supposedly accidental leak from KO_OP dev "jacob" from their discord server the other day (April 7th). The image was deleted a few minutes later. And yes, it is that blurry/low quality.

>Snoot Status: Shortened
What a shame.
I guess they also wanted to make the pictures showing her (and Trish) more clearly in the past, pre-hair dye and nail polish.
That Youtube channel is a good example of the kind of person who's still cheering this game on. "They/Them diva", indeed.

Lmao if true:

Edit:
Source of the image (12:56):
In the same video they show fang as not this ginger impostor and rather her original design; I'm putting my money on it being a photo of fang when she was younger instead of a last minute redesign to distance themselves from snootgame.
This would probably explain why they nerfed fang's snoot with the edit.

Snoot Bros we got too cocky:
Huh, the guy proposing deletion it seems to have a Reddit account where he's posted in the SnootGame sub. Maybe he'd rather have the article deleted than have it as "omg, this is totally an alt-right detrans hategame!", can't disagree there.
There's also this terminal Redditor who's responsible for making the article in the first place. Given their edit history on Wikipedia, especially with making new pages, it's probably pretty likely that the article will be removed, and their making is due to excessive butthurt. Might be something funny in their posts, but digging through Reddit histories of shit like /r/neoliberal gives me cancer.

I wouldn't expect anything new from this demo outside of what we already know unless they made some last minute chages to the one shown at their "booth".

The real meat'n potatoes is when it actually gets fully released, at which point, people should prepare their popcorns.
I wouldn't be shocked if it was coded for shit and actually has the full game with some half-assed stop function that is easily disabled

holy shit you lazy nigger, just look at a gameplay video.

there are tutorials on how to build a demo on unity, hard doubts but it'll be incredibly funny if they do this goof.

A newsletter was posted today.
🎥 It's almost time for GVH's online demo! (Archive)

What a big month for us, dinos! The whole development team has been hard at work finishing this darn game, and it's looking so beautiful. We really can't wait for you to see it.
Exciting team update: All the KO_OP staff members have their own dinosona now; a lot of them are actually in this picture, at a big concert on the roof of the school (I’m in the red tee with blue hair, hehe). We’ve been posting a lot of the dinosonas on Twitter lately, so you can take a look there too.

In addition to our dev updates though (which you can see more of here), we've finally been able to get Goodbye Volcano High into people's hands! Not the full game of course, but our demo! In March we had our first opportunities to get hands-on thoughts from other game developers at GDC's Day of the Devs, where we were one of a handful of games curated for the event, and at PAX East, which was the first time consumers got their claws on the Goodbye Volcano High demo. We received so many positive comments I can’t even begin to collect them all, but our beloved Twitter follower @wolf_nanaki compiled allll the links (THANK YOU!!) if you wanna see.
"The beautiful coming-of-age tale, which features a branching narrative and hand-drawn art, wants to ask some big questions about where we–and specifically younger people–fit in a world that seems to have become a ticking political, economic, and ecological time bomb"
—Chris Kerr, Game Developer
“Sometimes, the best stories are the smaller ones. The ones that are about ourselves. The ones that take place in those personal moments.”
—Roberto Nieves, Stack Up
“Featuring terrifically-written and likeable characters as well as fantastic music provided by our hopeful musician of a lead and a story that looks to deliver emotional gut punches alongside a nice sense of humor, Goodbye Volcano High is a unique look at high school life that looks like it will end up having been worth the wait."

And check out Rock Paper Shotgun’s Indiescovery podcast, where we get a shout-out!

What we were most sad about with our demo is that our online dino delegation didn’t get to play it 💔 Wouldn't you know it though, that's all about to change...

Because we are proud to announce that the first online demo for Goodbye Volcano High will make its debut at LudoNarraCon this coming May 4th-8th! HELL YA DINOS.

It's so overwhelmingly wonderful to get to be a part of LudoNarraCon. I remember watching talks the past few years and being so impressed with the way they run this fest, and the types of games they highlight. It's so special. And now we're in the mix! We're so honoured.

For our newsletter subscribers, a small sneak peek at a character that is extremely overwhelmingly close to our hearts lol and that we’ve been sitting on for YEARS, who will be revealed when you play the demo. For now, “Who's That Pokemon” style, here she is… from May 4th onwards get ready to be bombarded with her. Our Discord users can also look forward to a new sticker/emoji upload as soon as she’s announced.

And with that, I bid thee farewell, beloveds! We’ll be doing a Q&A during LudoNarraCon, so if you have any questions for the directors of Goodbye Volcano High, now’s the time to either email on here, check our LudoNarraCon channel on Discord, or leave us a comment on our TikTok!

A questions thread was opened in one of their discord channels for a supposedly-coming-soon answer video some time next week.

One of the discord channels KO_OP uses for internal communications was leaked, although it was unfortunately one of little importance. Its contents will be posted for posterity's sake.

God those color schemes are really shitty for the most part. Have they any knowledge about color theory?
To give them the benefit of the doubt, some of them most likely do, but it is forcibly overrode by a need to be unique for the sake of uniqueness.

Artists should try to make their creations, whatever they may be, the way they want them to be. But once you fall to the fallacy of needing them to be different than what everyone else has ever made you pigeonhole yourself into worse and worse design choices, which traps artists in Deviantart/OC-Donut-Steele tier purgatory. Having the confidence to use techniques and theories for your own art in a way that has a dash of your own spin on it is, in my opinion, a sign of maturity in an artist's chosen medium.

Now that you read all this, take a nice long look at the picture depicting the entire development team for this game again. Yeah.
