The explanation is that decent women can just tell that there's something off about guys like Tate ahead of time. They encounter Taters in the world and quickly run away because they can just smell he's a cringy shithead.
Thus the only women guys like Tate encounter are women who are so legitimately stupid or whorish to the point where they're willing to endure his presence.
Yeah. Highly misogynistic men rarely have good taste in women in my experience. Which is what we should expect: if you're highly disagreeable, like seeking out trouble and conflict, and are impulsive (the general personality profile of these guys) you'll likely find women who always have drama and are irresponsible.
It's also why the most misogyny found online is hyperfixated on well-known e-girls or the latest social media trends among attention whore women.
It's well known that people tend to be friends with and be intimate with people who are similar to themselves. Outside of heightened bonding situations, where differences are made irrelevant, but those are rare and often don't last once life hits a casual pace.

Hell, it's literally just r/k selection in practice-- the people who live life through hasty generalizations have more unstable relationships but far more of them because they're descended from people who got by with a quantity over quality strategy, have the personality traits which jive with that lifestyle, and are only compatible with other people like that. The internet has simply allowed them to make money. And we see so much more of who they are as a result. While TV and Film expected them to at least hide it a little.
