But consider that sites like /pol/ (which have banned doxing & raids) are still around and there's been no big campaign to ban them. They aren't being dropped from ISPs or cloudflare.

To me, the ethos of the site of pointing and laughing but not interacting is exactly what I want. Doxing is part of that, just because it so often reveals a cow's lies, and typing a name into the search bar of here is just as much effort as doing the same into Google, which most of our doxes are based on. What people do with that information is their call, of course, but just because the cows repeat 'doxing and harassment site' like a mantra doesn't mean the two are inextricably linked. And it's even more hollow when the harassment they complain about, on the rare chance it's real, is also entirely online, meaning their dox had nothing to do with it.

To me, dox are part of the fuller picture of documenting a cow, and that information is value neutral when gotten from public sources the cow has posted themselves. Null has put the ethos of 'look, but don't touch, or we'll mock you just as much' all over the site, and blaming the Farms for any harassment ignores the number of other places that collect that information, from Google to doxbin. Cows will blame us no matter where the information came from, same as they blame us for things that we had nothing to do with, as Lucas proved repeatedly.

So the only real problem is if you're morally opposed to archivists collating public information, which 99.99% of all dox here is. Which, go talk to Becky Gerber about it first, seeing how that's her job - and read her thread, which is as good an example of how a cow's dox helps disprove their bullshit as any, while also being sourced from information she herself had posted.
