Well Eren started out to be a tolerable outcast character with decent writing, but I assume the writers were hit by a bunch of bricks and all of a sudden had turned him into an absolute shitheep

Because Isayama wanted it to happen. Like logically the serumbowl shouldn't have happened because Armin would've died in his circumstances. The idea itself is neat about giving two nearly dead comrades a second chance of life at the cost of the other. Its poorly done due to the fact Armin literally should've been dead and had no logical reason at all to survive being burned alive and falling who knows how many meters up in the area.

When compared to Eren's plan which would destroy the entire fucking planet, it's the better one.

The main issue is given how the Rumbling is conducted, it would destroy Paradis too with all the ecological damage it would cause. Eren's not just killing people. He's effectively upending the entire world's ecological system, and wiping out most plant, and animal life. All the smoke and ash would block out the sun, and cause another ice age. The oceans would turn to toxic sludge. Acid rain would fall, and that along with the said new ice age would render farming all, but impossible.

He's basically bulldozing the entire world, so all the technological, medical, artistic, etc. progress the places outside the Walls made would be lost, too. It would also render the goal of the series moot too because there's nothing to see outside the Walls once he destroyed it all. Yeah, they killed all the titans, and outside threats, and shit, but what's the point if all that's left is a smoldering, barren wasteland that's eventually gonna kill you too anyways?

Lastly, a full-scale Rumbling was not needed as small ones used to take out other countries military capabilities could've worked just as well. At least long enough for negotiations to be possible. True, it might not have worked given how dumb this world is, but it still should've been tried first.

The reason why everyone decided to target Eldia was because of their Token Eldian friend who only went to push for it was because the military pushed him to do it because of Eren’s Cuck brother who pushed them to get the token Eldians to focus on Paradis, and he planned that out with Eren.

You literally ignore the fact that in the series, titans have repeatedly shown to damage the fucking environment retard. Like being near a titan can burn you alive, can burn the trees surrounding it (like in the Uprising arc), and can boil seawater. Like this is shown within the story.

Also love how you Erenfags frame the Rumbling as these defenseless people standing up for themselves after being pushed around despite the entire war against the island explicitly being the fault of a retarded incel and a self-hating cuck who pushed for it to happen and basically prevented any alternatives for their genocide plans.
