If DSP doesn't actually intervene and tell YouTube to stop disseminating these illegitimate copyright strikes, not only is he an outrageous hypocrite for all his whining and mewling about identity theft, but he's also tacitly endorsing it and approving of it (both the copyright strikes _and_ using his identity to file false strikes). If DSP knows it's happening and doesn't do anything about it he's a failure as a businessman to let people tarnish his image filing obviously bullshit copyright strikes.

Why are you speaking like he would ever give a shit? Neither DSP nor YouTube will intervene in this situation, the only way it stops is if the person doing it decides to. What’s happening sucks, but unlike DSP, detractor content creators actually did nothing wrong and there is nothing they can do about it.

The best outcome from this is if it hurts Phil’s bottom line and/or that he can no longer blame his haters for his problems since they’ll all be gone from the platform he is operating on.

The name of "copyright owner" can be for example your Youtube channel moniker, but not necessarily so, I think (since the placeholder on that field says: e.g. YouTube channel name); primary email cannot be modified.

At the end it is required for you to type a signature with your full legal name (which means nothing, along with the agreements). None of this should matter that much, until they fight back and take legal actions against you.

It's not only protection but also reach. I tweeted some random stuff yesterday and when I checked the "stats" out of curiosity it literally said "Increase your reach by going Twitter advanced" meaning "buy into our Twitter Blue system" Of course those channels who have amassed followers have at least some reach but for newbies it means "Pay for the clout!" Then again Phil hasn't gotten anything out of Twitter since his ProJared smackdown and even that led to nothing but a small bump in attention and his hilariously stupid "I did nothing wrong" debunking stream
